Batch Creation of Controlpoint / Inspection Plan - A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to create control points and define an inspection plan for each control point automatically in a single step. Use the search criteria to search for the item for which a control point id and an inspection plan id are to be created. It is to be noted that the control points created this way cannot have control factors that affect the quality of the items.

The control point and inspection plan ids are generated automatically in a certain format. The system first creates the control point for the specified item - variant and origin. The inspection plan for the control point will be created depending on the attributes defined for the item in the “Item Administration” business component. That is, an inspection plan id is created if at least one of the attributes pertaining to the item has the QC test set as mandatory. In case there are no such attributes, the inspection plan id is not created.

Most of the details such as the date from when the plan becomes effective, the inspection type, sampling size, sampling type etc are automatically assigned by the system to default values.
