Using online help

This page allows you to select a control point id and transfer the same to the field where it is required. You can retrieve the control point details by specifying the search criteria such as control point id, Origin id, description etc in the “Value (S)” field. Based on the filter criteria entered, the control point details are retrieved. You can select the control point id from the list displayed. On confirmation, the selected control point code is transferred to the required page.

The “Help for ControlPoint Id” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a control point code.

Field Caption

The system displays the control point id, description, Origin ID and control factor value as a search fields

Rel. Operators

Use the drop-down list box to specify the relation operators. The system displays the control point code and its details in the multiline based on the characters selected in this field.

Value (S)

You can enter the control point code in full or specify it partially based on the character mentioned in the “Rel. Operators” field. The system displays the values in the multiline based on the character selected in the “Rel. Operators” field.

 

For example, to view the control point code “Warehouse1”, if the “Rel. Operators” field is specified as “Equal to”, you can specify “Warehouse” in this field and all the values that are equivalent to “Warehouse” gets displayed in the multiline.

Value (S)

You can enter a range of control point codes in both the “Value (s)” text boxes provided to retrieve the “In between” codes in the multiline.

 

For example, if the control point id in the first “Value(S) text box is entered as “Warehouse 1” and the second “Value(S)” text box is entered as “Warehouse 5” and click the “Search” pushbutton. The rule codes in between “Warehouse 1” and “Warehouse 5” get displayed in the multiline.

Note: Similar search facility could be used for the control point details such as its description and origin id.

The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Control Point ID

The code identifying the control point id.

Description

The textual description of the control point id.

Item

The code identifying the item belonging to the control point.

Variant

The code identifying the item variant.

Description

The textual description of the item or item variant.

Origin ID

The code identifying the origin from where the inspection request is received, which could be “Quality Management”, “Purchase”, “Production”, “Sales”, “Inventory” and “All”.
