Using Online Help

This page allows you to activate or inactivate quick codes. A quick code can be temporarily stopped from usage by inactivating it. You can also restore a quick code for active usage by activating it. This page allows you to select the entity and retrieve all the quick code values that have been created for it.  You can activate or inactivate a selected quick code. The system stores the login user ID and the system date along with the modified details.

Entity

Use the drop-down list box to select the entity for which the quick codes must be created. You can select from “Bank Type”, “Company Identification Reference", “Item”, "Location Reference", "Location Type", "Policy", "Product Identification Reference", Supply Chain Reference" , "Tax Identification Reference" or "Nature of Deferral Transactions".

 

On selection of the entity the system retrieves the quick codes and the values that have been created for the entity.

The system displays the following in the “Quick Code Details” multiline based on the entity selected:

Quick Code

The unique identifier of the quick code.

Value

A textual description of the quick code.

Default

Indicates whether the quick code would be displayed by default at the launch of the page when this entity is used in other business components.

 
  •  Yes – indicates that the value will be displayed by default.

 
  • No – indicates that the value will not be displayed by default.

Status

The status of the quick code. It could be “Active” or “Inactive”.

 
  •   Active – indicates that the quick code is in use.

 
  • Inactive – indicates that the quick code is no longer in use.

Note: At least one quick code that is in the “Inactive” status must be selected.

The status of the quick code is updated to “Active”.

The login user ID and the system date are stored along with the modified details.
