Attribute Based Serial Numbered Stock Information

This page allows you to inquire the stock details serially numbered items in a stocking point or OU. Serial numbering is highly prevalent in discrete manufacturing industries. You can carry out a search using serial number details as filter criteria. Alternatively, you can also carry out a search using attribute details such as attribute code, type, quantitative value and qualitative value. You can choose to search the stock details of lot-controlled items using either serial number details or attribute details or both. Based on the specified search criteria, the system displays warehouse code, zone/bin combination, lot number, serial number, reference serial number, stock status and quantity of stock available in the warehouse

Select the “Inquire Attribute Based Serial Stock” at the bottom of the “Stock Information for Stocking Point” page.

Note: The item has to be lot controlled to launch this page

The “Attribute Based Serial Stock Information” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Item Code	A unique code identifying the item in the warehouse.
Variant Code	A unique code identifying the variant, if the item supports variants.
Required UOM	The unit of measurement in which you wish to inquire the stock of the item. If the required UOM is not specified in the main page, then the stock information inquiry will be done in stock UOM.
Item Variant Desc.	A textual description of the item variant.
Stock UOM	A unit of measurement of the item stocked in the warehouse of the selected OU.
Stocking Point	The OU in which the warehouse for which you wish to inquire the stock is defined.
Warehouse Code	A unique code identifying the warehouse.
Total Stock Qty.	The total amount of stock quantity in various stock statuses in the selected warehouse.

Enter the following in the “Serial No. Selection Criteria” group box. Data entry in the following fields is optional.

Serial No. From	The serial number of the item from which you wish to inquire the stock details.
Serial No. To	The lot number till which you wish to inquire the stock details.

Enter the following in the “Attribute Selection Criteria” group box. Data entry in the following fields is optional.

Attribute Code	Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the attribute (Alphanumeric, 10). By default, this field is set to “Blank”, thereby displaying lot details irrespective of the attribute values.
Attribute Type	The type of attribute. Attributes are of two types “Qualitative” and “Quantitative”. The system retrieves and displays the attribute type for the corresponding attribute code.
Quantitative Value From	The quantitative value of the attribute from which you wish to view the serial number details.
Quantitative Value To	The quantitative value of the attribute till which you wish to view the serial number details.
Qualitative Value	The qualitative value of the attribute for which you wish to inquire the serial number details.

The system displays the following in the “Attribute Selection Criteria” multiline:

Quantitative Attribute UOM	The unit of measurement of the item if attribute type is quantitative.
Attribute Desc.	The textual description of the attribute.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the serial number details, zone/bin combination, lot number, stock status and quantity in the “Serial No. Details” multiline.

The system displays the following in the “ Serial No Results” multiline:

Warehouse Code	A unique code identifying the warehouse.
Zone	The number identifying the zone in the warehouse in which the item is stored.
Bin	The number identifying the bin in which the item is stored in the zone.
Lot No.	The unique number identifying the lot in the warehouse. The system retrieves this number if the item is lot controlled in addition to being serially numbered.
Serial No.	The unique serial for the item in the warehouse.
Ref. Serial No.	The serial number specified by the vendor or manufacturer.
Stock Status	The stock status of the items stored in the lot.
Qty.	The total amount of stock quantity in the selected warehouse for the serial no
