This page allows you to add new bins and modify the existing bin details. Bins can be defined and modified only if the warehouse type and zone type is “Normal” and the warehouse status and zone status is “Active”. You can add more bins and also modify the bin information already created. The bin, bin desc. and picking priority of the bin can be modified in the “Bin Information” multiline. This page will not be launched if the warehouse is in “Inactive” status, does not exist in the login OU or if the storage type is “Free”.
Select the “Maintain Bin” link at the bottom of the “Maintain Zone” page.
The “Maintain Bin” page appears.
The system displays the following:

Warehouse Code |
The unique code identifying the warehouse. |

Warehouse Desc. |
A textual description of the warehouse. The warehouse description corresponding to the warehouse code is displayed here. |
Enter the following:

Zone |
Use the drop-down list box to select the appropriate zone. Only zones that are in “Active” status will be displayed here. The system sets this field blank by default. |

Zone Desc. |
A textual description of the zone. |
Enter the following fields in the “Bin Information” multiline:

Bin |
The new bin code that is to be created can be specified here (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. This field will also display the existing bin codes under the zone, defined using the “Create Bin” page for modification. This number should be unique within the zone. |

Bin Desc. |
The description of the new bin or modified description of the bin already defined (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |

Picking Priority |
The priority of picking the items from the bin (Integer). The number entered here should be greater than zero. This number should be unique within the multiline. |
Click the box in the “Select” column of the multiline for attaching notes.
Click the “Maintain Bin” pushbutton to add new bins and modify the existing bin information.
The system saves all the bins in the selected zone and warehouse for the login OU. If you wish to modify a bin code and the newly entered bin code is not previously defined, then the system creates a new bin with the specified code.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select “Attach Notes” link at the bottom of the page to attach notes for a Bin.
