Maintain Warehouse Planning Parameter

This page allows you to specify the replenishment details for a warehouse. Stocks in a warehouse need to be continuously replenished. Stocks in the warehouse can be replenished using min-max level or reorder level. The header displays the warehouse code and warehouse description. In the “Warehouse Planning Parameter Information” multiline you can specify the item variant for which the planning parameters are to be specified. Take the “View Item Main Information” link to view the main details of the item.

Select “Maintain Warehouse Planning Parameter” link at the top of the “Select Warehouse” page.

The “Maintain Warehouse Planning Parameter” page appears.

The system displays the following in the header:

Warehouse Code	The warehouse code.
Warehouse Desc.	The description of the warehouse.

Enter the following in the “Warehouse Planning Parameter Information” multiline:

Item Code	The unique code identifying the item (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. Ensure that the item code exists for the login OU. The system performs this check using the “Item Administration” component.

Variant Code	The variant code of the selected item (Alphanumeric, 8). Ensure that the variant is entered if the item is variant enabled. The variant code must be valid for the corresponding item code and must exist in the login OU. The system performs this check using the “Item Administration” component.

The system displays the following in the “Warehouse Planning Parameter Information” multiline:

Item Variant Desc.	The description of the item variant (Alphanumeric, 150).
Stock UOM	The unit of measurement of the stock.
Planning Type	The type of warehouse planning.

Enter the following in the “Warehouse Planning Parameter Information” multiline:

Min. Stock	The minimum stock level after which the purchase activity will be initiated (Decimal). Mandatory. The stock replenishment activity will occur once the stock level in the warehouse reaches the minimum stock quantity specified here. This field is enabled only when the planning type is MIN/MAX Level.
Max. Stock	The maximum quantity of stock that can be stored in the warehouse (Decimal). Mandatory. This field is enabled only when the planning type is MIN/MAX Level.
Safety Stock	The quantity of stock stored in the warehouse to meet the leadtime variations and consumption rate fluctuations (Decimal). Mandatory. This field is enabled only when the planning type is Reorder Level.
Reorder Level	The level of stock quantity in the warehouse after which the system automatically generates a purchase request or purchase order to replenish the stock (Decimal). Mandatory. This field is enabled only when the planning type is Reorder Level.
Reorder Qty.	The quantity of stock to be replenished when the stock level reaches the reorder level in the warehouse (Decimal). Mandatory. This field is enabled only when the planning type is Reorder Level.

Note: Quantity can be entered in fractions, only if the UOM has been set to “Allow fractions” in the “Create UOM” activity of the “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component.

If Planning Type is not "Reorder Level" or "Min Max Type”, then the Item Code must not be allowed and the system displays an error message. If the Planning Type of the Item variant code is "Min Max" Type, then no data entry must be allowed in the Safety Stock, Reorder Level, Reorder Quantity fields.

Click the box in the “Select” column of the multiline for viewing item information and attaching notes.

Click the “Maintain Warehouse Planning Parameter” pushbutton to create or modify the warehouse planning parameter information.

The system saves the entered details. The system saves the system date and login Id of the user in the last created date and last created by fields.

The system displays the following:

Created by	The login id of the user who created the warehouse planning parameter information.
Created Date	The system date on which the warehouse planning parameter information was created.
Last Modified by	The login id of the user who last modified the warehouse planning parameter information.
Last Modified Date	The date on which the warehouse planning parameter information was last modified.

To proceed, carry out the following

Select the “View Item - Main Information” link at the bottom of the page to view item information.
