This page allows you to map tax type to a transaction involving tax. This activity stores the mapping of Tax Type-Tax Community-Transaction Type.
Select the “Map Tax Type To Transaction” link under the “Tax Calculation” business component.
The “Map Tax Type To Transaction” page appears.
Enter the details in the following fields:

Tax Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required tax type to map. On launch of the page the system displays the first available value. Tax type is the type of tax, for example, TDS, and VAT. The list box is filled with all available tax types. On selecting a tax type, appropriate values applicable are listed in the tax community, |

Tax Community |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required tax community. On launch of the page the system displays the first available value. The system fills the list box with applicable value on selecting the tax type. The tax community refers to the government authority that administers the tax laws, for example India, EU, and USA. |

Usage Type |
The system displays the usage type according to the tax type, tax community chosen, as Predefined, or User-defined. |

Business Function Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required BFG. On launch of the page the system displays “All”. Business function groups (BFGs) are names assigned to a set of related functions of an enterprise, example, "Payables Management"." The multiline will display the records relating to the selected BFG. |

Component |
Use the drop-down list to select the required component. A component is a specific function under the BFG. On launch of the page the system displays “All”. The multiline will display the records relating to the selected component under the selected BFG. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Transaction Type ” multiline:

Business Function Group |
Business function groups, (BFGs), are names assigned to a set of related functions of an enterprise, example, "Payables Management"." The system displays the BFG that is selected. |

Component |
A component is a specific function under a BFG. The system displays the selected component. |
|
Transaction Type |
The type of transaction involving reckoning of tax. Where a transaction type is already mapped for a tax type/tax community, the system fetches the mapped details. |

Transaction Name |
The name of the transaction. |
Enter the following fields in the “Transaction Type ” multiline:

Applicability |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required option. If 'Usage Type' is user-defined the system loads the field with value 'Yes' and 'No' and if the Usage Type is predefined the system loads the field with the stored value. If applicability is selected as “No”, all the following four fields in the multiline: Tax Settlement, Tax Adjustments, Tax Certificate on Receipts, and Tax certificate Generation, must be selected as “No”; if applicability is selected as “Yes”, you can select the required values in the four fields. |

Tax Settlement |
Use the drop-down list box to select the option. Settlement is a process of settling tax to the authorities according to the periodicity specified for the tax. If the usage type is user-defined, the system loads the list box with "Yes" and "No". If Usage Type is Predefined, only the applicable value will be displayed. |

Tax Adjustment |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required value. Whether adjustment is required for the tax. If Usage Type is Predefined, the field indicates the stored value, for user-defined usage type, both the values yes and no will be available in the list. |

Tax Certificates on Receipts |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required option. Whether certificate is to be generated on receipts. If Usage type is predefined, the system displays the stored value. If user defined the list box will have both yes and no options to choose from. Between the two fields, tax certificates on receipts and tax certificate generation; only one field can hold the value “Yes” for a transaction type. |

Tax Certificate Generation |
Use the drop-down list box to select the option. If Usage type is User Defined, and the Tax Certificate Applicability is "Yes", the system loads the field with values "Yes" and "No". Else, the value will be "No". If Usage Type is Predefined, the system loads the field for the transaction type with the stored value. |
Click the “Map Details” pushbutton to map the details.
On clicking map details pushbutton the system saves the details mapped along with the user id, and the system date.
After the mapping details are saved in the database, the screen refreshes with the mapped record: Tax Type, Tax Community & Usage Type; the multiline displays Component Name, Transaction Type, Transaction Name and Applicability mapped to a tax type.
