This page allows you to select any tax code that you require to modify or to delete from database. This page provides you with a comprehensive set of variables to fine tune your search to retrieve the particular tax code, or tax codes that you require to delete or to modify.
Select the “Edit Tax Code” link under the “Tax Rule Definition” business component.
The “Select Tax Code” page appears.
Enter details in the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Tax Code From |
The code from which to start the search (Alphanumeric, 10). |

The tax code to define the range for your search (Alphanumeric, 10). |

Code Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required code type. The system displays “Regular” as default on launch of the page. The options are:, “Regular”, or “Surcharge”. |

Tax Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required tax type for the search. Tax type is the type of tax for example VAT and TDS. The system displays the first value on launch of the page. |

Tax Community |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required tax community for the search. Tax community is the government authority that administrates the tax laws for example, India, EU and USA. The system displays the first value for the tax type as default on launch of the page. |

Tax Region |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required tax region for the search. Tax region is the place where the tax declaration is required to be made. The system displays “ALL” as default on launch of the page. The system loads the field with all the tax regions defined for the tax type. |

Code Classification |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required code classification. You can select from “Regular” or “Surcharge.” |

Use the drop-down list box to select the required code type. |

Tax Basis |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required tax basis for the search. The system displays “PERCENTAGE” as the default tax basis on launch of the page. If unit rate is applicable, the list box lists both the choices of percentage and unit rate. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to search the results for the search criteria entered.

Tax Code |
The code identifying the tax. Select the required hyperlink of the tax code you require to modify. |

Textual description of the tax code. |

Tax UOM |
The unit of measurement of the tax code. |

Code Classification |
The classification of tax code such as “Regular” or “Surcharge.” |

Code Type |
Regular or surcharge as the case may be. |

Tax Type |
The type of tax. |
|
Tax Community |
The community to which the tax type belongs. |
|
Tax Region |
The tax region applicable. |
|
Tax Basis |
Percentage or unit rate as the case may be. |

Status |
Status of the tax code, such as, Active, Fresh. |

Created By |
The user id of the person who created the tax code. |

Created Date |
The date of such creation. |

Last Modified By |
The user id of the person who modified the tax code combination. |

Last Modified Date |
The date of such modification. |
