This page allows you to view the various details relating to a tax group. Tell me more.

The “View Tax Group” page appears

The system displays the following fields:

Tax Type

The tax type selected on the “Select Tax Group” page.

Tax Community

The government authority that administer the tax laws.

Tax Region

The place where the tax declaration is required to be made. The tax region selected on the “Select Tax Group” page.

Tax UOM

Tax unit of measurement, if applicable.

Tax Group

User-defined group to which Items/TCDs/Usage Ids are mapped. The tax group entered on the “Select Tax Group” page.

Desc.

The textual description of the tax group.

The system displays the following fields in the “Mapping Details” multiline:

Type

Type can be Item, charge, discount, tax, and usage ID.

Usage Id. / Item Code / TCD Code / Asset No.

The code of one of the following: usage id, item, tax, charge, and discount and asset number.

Item / TCD Variant / Tag No.

The code of the variant of, item, tax, charge, or discount, where applicable.

From Date

The date from which effective.

To Date

The date till which effective.

Assessable Rate

The rate at which the item is assessed for tax.

Desc.

Textual description of the code. 

Commodity Code

The alphanumeric code used to identify particular products and classification of goods and services for better identification.

Note: The column "Commodity Code" would be visible only for the tax type CST / VAT

The system displays the following fields at the bottom of the page:

Created by

The login ID of the user who created the tax group.

Created date

The date on which the tax group was created.

Last modified by

The login ID of the user who modified the tax group.

Last modified

Date

The date on which the tax group was modified.

View Tax Group – An overview

Activity overview

Grouping of the various constituents of a tax group is done to make it easy to manage. Usually groups are made on the basis of similarity of the tax rates. This could be made on any other common factor also. When tax laws change, it would become necessary to assess the existing groupings. This page allows you to keep track of the groups.
