This page allows you to maintain a position mapping where you can map a position number of a report ID to the Tax Region, Tax category, Tax class and Tax rate. You can maintain the position mapping based on the position number of the report ID. The system displays the report ID, description of the report ID, tax type and the tax community, which you want to map. You can select the position number, tax region, trade type, value, taxable amount, non-taxable amount, deductible amount and non-deductible amount of the report. You can also enter the mapping details where you can select the tax region, tax category, tax class and tax code.
Select the “Maintain Position Mapping” link in the “Create Report Template” page.
The “Maintain Position Mapping” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Report Details” group box:

Report ID. |
The number identifying the report ID for which you want to maintain the position mapping. |

A textual description of the report ID. |
|
Tax Type |
The tax type applicable to the report ID. |
|
Tax Community |
The tax community based on the tax type applicable to the report ID. |

Position No. |
Use the drop-down list box to select the position number for which you want to maintain the position mapping. The position numbers that are applicable for the report ID will be available for selection. The system displays the first value by default on the launch of the page. |

Tax Region |
Use the drop-down list box to select the tax region for which you want to maintain the position mapping. The applicable tax region for the tax type and tax community defined in the “TSET” component will be available for selection. If mapping is done for the specified position number, then the tax region already set for the specified position number will be displayed. The system displays blank if mapping is not done for the specified position number. |

Trade Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the trade type for which you want to maintain the position mapping. You can select from “Purchase” and “Sale”. If mapping is done for the specified position number, then the trade type already set for the specified position number will be displayed. The system displays “Purchase” by default if mapping is not done for the specified position number. |

Value |
Use the drop-down list box to select the value for which you want to maintain the position mapping. You can select from “Transaction Amount”, “Tax Amount” or “Both”. If mapping is done for the specified position number, then the value already set for the specified position number will be displayed. The system displays “Both” by default if mapping is not done for the specified position number. |

Taxable Amount |
Use the drop-down list box to select whether the Taxable amount of the Transaction is required as Report output. You can select from “Yes” or “No”. If mapping is done for the specified position number, then the value already set for the specified position number will be displayed. The system displays “Yes” by default if mapping is not done for the specified position number. |

Non Taxable Amount |
Use the drop-down list box to select whether the Non Taxable amount of the Transaction is required as Report output. You can select from “Yes” or “No”. If mapping is done for the specified position number, then the value already set for the specified position number will be displayed. The system displays “Yes” by default if mapping is not done for the specified position number. |

Deductible Tax Amount |
Use the drop-down list box to select whether the Deductible Tax amount of the Transaction is required as Report output. You can select from “Yes” or “No”. If mapping is done for the specified position number, then the value already set for the specified position number will be displayed. The system displays “Yes” by default if mapping is not done for the specified position number. |

Non Deductible Tax Amount |
Use the drop-down list box to select whether the Non Deductible Tax amount of the Transaction is required as Report output. You can select from “Yes” or “No”. If mapping is done for the specified position number, then the value already set for the specified position number will be displayed. The system displays “Yes” by default if mapping is not done for the specified position number. |

Tax Region |
Use the drop-down list box to select the tax region for which you want to maintain the position mapping. The applicable tax region for the tax type and tax community defined in the “TSET” component will be available for selection. If blank is selected in the header Tax Region and if specific tax region is selected tax region, then that value alone will be loaded. If mapping is done for the specified position number, then the tax region already set for the specified position number will be displayed. The system displays blank if mapping is not done for the specified position number. |

Tax Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the tax category for which you want to maintain the position mapping. The applicable tax category for the tax type, tax community and trade type defined in the “TSET” component will be available for selection. If mapping is done for the specified position number, then the tax category already set for the specified position number will be displayed. The system displays blank if mapping is not done for the specified position number. |

Tax Class |
Use the drop-down list box to select the tax class for which you want to maintain the position mapping. The applicable tax class for the tax type, tax community and trade type defined in the “TSET” component will be available for selection. Tax Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the tax code for which you want to maintain the position mapping. The applicable tax code for the tax type, tax community and tax region defined in the “TRD” component will be available for selection. If mapping is done for the specified position number, then the tax code already set for the specified position number will be displayed. The system displays blank if mapping is not done for the specified position number. |
