Using online help

This page allows you to reverse the tax remittance record selected by you. The page allows you to reverse the requests having its status as “Requested”.

The “Reverse Tax Remittance Request” page appears.

Note: The “Reverse Tax Remittance Request page can be reached from the “Select Tax Remittance Request” page in two ways. 1. By clicking the hyperlink of the tax remittance request number appearing in the multiline, or 2. By entering the tax remittance request number on the first field in the page and by clicking the “Reverse Tax Remittance Request” link.

The system displays the following fields in the “Remittance Request Information“ group box:

Remittance Request No.

The remittance request number.

Status

Status of the remittance request.

Request Date

The request date.

Finance Book Id.

The finance book under which the transaction is to be accounted. The finance book Id.

Numbering Type

The numbering type of the request.

Tax Type

The type of tax for example, VAT and TDS. The tax type of the request.

Tax Region

The place where the tax declaration is to be made. The tax region of the request.

Tax Class

Tax class is a code that identifies the sub transaction type for reporting purposes, specified by the tax authorities. The tax class of the request is displayed.

The system displays the following fields in the “Transaction Details” multiline:

Party Type

The type of party in the transaction.

Party Code

The code identifying the party.

Party Name

The name applicable to the party code.

Assessee Type

The type of assessee such as company, partnership.

Transaction Instance

The transaction instance applicable.

Transaction Type

The type of transaction.

Transaction No.

The serial number of the transaction.

Transaction Date

The date of the transaction.

Taxable Amount

The amount chargeable to tax.

Tax Amount

The amount of tax.

Due Date

The due date for payment of tax.

The system displays the following fields in the “Payment Information” group box:

Pay Amount

The pay amount is the sum of all the amounts of the transactions selected for remittance.

Payee

The entity that is paid. The name of the payee.

Pay Date

The date for payment.

Payment Voucher Numbering Type

The numbering type for the payment voucher.

Payment Point

The payment point for the request.

Payment Method

The payment method defined for the request.

Payment Route

The payment route for the request.

Pay Mode

The pay mode for the request.

Priority

One of the three options of priority assigned for the request, from "High", "Medium" and "Low" is displayed.

Bank / Cash Code

The bank cash code assigned to the request.

Description

The system displays the applicable description for the bank/cash code selected.

Remarks

The remarks entered for the request.

 

Zoom facility available.

Payment Voucher No.

 The voucher number automatically generated to make tax payments

Treasury

Name of the treasury in which the amount is deposited.

Note: The control “Treasury” is visible when the Tax Type is selected as EXCISE.

Reversal Date

Enter the date of reversal, (Date Format) Mandatory. The date must not be greater than the system date or earlier than request date.  The system displays the system date as default on launch of the page.

Reason Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the required code for the reason for reversal.

Remarks For Reversal

The remarks relating to the reversal (Alphanumeric, 100).

The system displays the following fields in the “Voucher Information” multiline:

Transaction No

The Journal voucher number generated.

Transaction OU

The Organisation Unit in which the interfb Journal was generated.

Transaction Type

The type of Journal voucher.

Finance Book

The Finance Book in which interfb Journal voucher was generated

Transaction Amount

 The Transaction Amount .

Note: This section will be displayed only when InterFb Journal voucher is generated.

The system reverses the selected records updates the status of the tax remittance request as “Reversed” and displays a message that the records are successfully reversed appears. The tax status of the transactions that are part of the remittance request batch gets updated to “Incorporated”.

The system also displays the following fields:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the tax remittance request.

Created Date

The date on which the tax remittance request was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the tax remittance request.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the tax remittance request was last modified.
