Account Tax Certificate Without Document Reference
This activity allows you to record and account for tax certificates which are received prior to actual receipts (Customer Receipts / Supplier Receipts). In a Business Scenario when the Customer sends only the Tax certificates for the tax deducted on the payment prior to the payment being made to us. This Activity helps to account and record such tax certificates.
Select the “Account Tax Certificate Without Document Reference” link at the Bottom of the page of ‘Record Tax Certificate’ Screen.
The “Account Tax Certificate without Document Reference” page appears.
Select the Following Fields for accounting the Tax Certificates :

Tax Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required tax type, Mandatory. The type of tax, for example TDS. The system loads the list with all the tax types applicable for the company and for tax certificates and displays the first loaded type as default. |

Tax Region |
Use the drop-down list box to select the required tax region. The system displays “All” on launch of the page as default, on selecting the tax type the tax regions set for the tax type are loaded in the list. Tax region is the place where the tax declaration is made. |

Tax Class |
Use the drop-down list box to select the tax class. |
|
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the finance book. Finance book is mapped to the OU. If more than one value are in the list, the first value will be displayed on launch of the page |

Tax Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the tax code. |
|
Party Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of party from “Supplier”, “Customer”. The system displays value “Customer” on launch of the page as default. |

Party Code |
The code of the party |

The system displays the following

Party Name |
The applicable party name for the party code. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, if you require to search for the tax certificate information:

Certificate No From . |
The Starting No in the Range of Certificate Numbers which are to be considered for Search |
|
Certificate No To. |
The last No. in the Range of Certificate Numbers which are to be considered for Search. |
|
Certificate Date From |
The Starting Date in the Range of Certificate Dates which are to be considered for Search |
|
Certificate Date To |
The last Date in the Range of Certificate Dates which are to be considered for Search |
|
Certificate Amount From |
The Starting amount in the range of Certificate Amounts which are to be considered for Search |
|
Certificate Amount To |
The Ending amount in the range of Certificate Amounts which are to be considered for Search |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to fetch the search criteria details in the “Certificate Details” multiline.
If ‘Get Details’ has been executed the system displays the following fields in the “Certificate Details” multiline:

Certificate Number |
The Unique number identifying the Certificate |
|
Certificate Date |
The Date of the Certificate |
|
Certificate Amount |
The Amount of the Certificate |
Enter the following fields in the “Certificate Details” multiline to Record the Tax Certificate Details:

Certificate Number |
The Unique number identifying the Certificate |

Certificate Date |
The Date of the Certificate |
|
Certificate Amount |
The amount for which the certificate is made. (Integer). Mandatory. |
Check the box in the select column of the multiline against the certificate details you require to Account.
Enter the following fields in the ‘Debit /Credit Note Details’

Note Date |
The Date on which the Supplier / Customer Credit Note is to be raised |
The system displays the following when Save and Authorize is executed

Note Type |
The Type of the Credit Note which got generated for accounting the Tax Certificate. It can either be a Supplier Credit Note or a Customer Credit Note depending upon the Party selected |

Note No |
The unique number identifying the Credit Note generated |
|
Note Amount |
The amount of the Note |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to record the certificate details.
Click the “Save and Authorize” pushbutton to record the certificate details and to generate the Credit Notes for Accounting the same
Click the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the certificate details which were not authorized.
The system saves the certificate details and refreshes the screen with the saved data.
To proceed, carry out the following
Click the “View Supplier Credit Note” link at the bottom of the page to view the Supplier Credit Note (if any) got generated and displayed in the ‘Debit /Credit Note Details’ section
Click the “View Customer Credit Note” link at the bottom of the page to view the Customer Credit Note (if any) got generated and displayed in the ‘Debit /Credit Note Details’ section
