This page allows you to modify the UOM class Information. You can carry out a search using the UOM class and description. The system will retrieve all the UOMs matching the search criteria entered. You can modify the UOM class description. You can modify the UOM class details if the UOM is in “Active” status.
Select the “Edit UOM Class” link under the “UOM Administration” business component.
The “Edit UOM Class” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box:
UOM Class |
A group of UOMs grouped into a class. It may be some predefined uom classes or you may define your own uom class. The system checks for the existence of the uom class and throws an error if it already exists. The system throws an error if this field is left blank. |
Description |
The description of the uom class. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the uom class, whose descriptions are similar to the value, entered here. The system throws an error if this field is left blank. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the specified search criteria:

Description |
The description of the uom class. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the uom class, whose descriptions are similar to the value, entered here. The system throws an error if this field is left blank. |

Automatic Conversion |
The system displays either “YES” or “NO”. If “YES”, the system automatically does the conversion and if “NO” is displayed the conversion has to be done manually. |
Enter the following field in the “Search Results” multiline:
Base UOM |
The uom class against which the uom conversions are defined. The system checks for the validity of the uom. |

Note: The system throws an error if the uom class for which the base uom is mapped has the auto conversion flag set to no and also if the uom class defined in the uom master ie; for the entered uom is different.
The system displays the following details:
Created by |
The login id of the user who created the UOM class. |
Created Date |
The system date on which the UOM class was created. |
Last Modified by |
The login id of the user who last modified the UOM details. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the UOM class was last modified. |
Click the “Edit UOM Class (Es)” pushbutton to save the modifications made
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline.
Select the “Edit Item Independent Conversion” link at the bottom of the page to modify the conversion factor.
