View UOM Information
This page allows you to view the details of the UOM available in the database. You can carry out a search by entering the UOM code, UOM description and status. The system will retrieve all the UOMs based on the status selected.
Details such as the code, description and status of the UOM are displayed along with the name of the user who created or modified the UOM, and the date on which the UOM was created or modified will be retrieved and displayed in the “Search Results” multiline. The system also displays whether the UOM can be used with fractions in a transaction.
Select the “View UOM” link under the “UOM Administration” business component.
The “View UOM Information” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the UOM to be viewed. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
UOM |
A unique code identifying the UOM to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 10). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the UOM codes that are similar to the value entered here. |
UOM Desc. |
A textual description of the UOM to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the UOM, whose descriptions are similar to the value, entered here. |
Status |
The status of the UOM to be viewed. Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the UOM. The system displays “ALL” by default. |
UOM Class |
A group of UOM grouped into a class. It may be some predefined UOM classes or you may define your own UOM class. |
UOM Class Desc. |
The description of the UOM class. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the UOM class, whose descriptions are similar to the value, entered here. |

Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the specified search criteria:
UOM |
A unique code identifying the UOM. |
UOM Desc. |
A textual description of the UOM. |
Decimals Allowed |
Indicates whether decimals can be entered for the UOM while recording transactions. |
Status |
The status of the UOM. It could be either “Active” or “Inactive”. |
UOM Class |
The code identifying the UOM class. |
UOM Class Desc. |
The description of the UOM class. |
Created by |
The login id of the user who created the UOM. |
Create Date |
The date on which the UOM was created. |
Last Modified by |
The login id of the user who lastly modified the UOM details. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the UOM was last modified. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select an UOM for which you want view the item independent conversion details and notes.
