This report gives you the picture of the availability of input items required for manufacturing a specific quantity of end item. Report Information.

The “Work Order Component Availability Check” page appears.

Item Code

The code identifying the item for which you want to view the component availability details. Mandatory.

Variant Code

The code or number identifying the variant of the item for which you want to view the component availability details.

Plant

Use the drop-down list box to select the valid plant where the items are identified. The system retrieves the warehouse organization units. The system displays the first value as default on launch of the page.

Warehouse Code

The code or the number identifying the warehouse in which the item is identified. If this field is left blank, then the system generates the report for the standard warehouse for the default plant selected.

Qty.

The quantity of the item. If this field is left blank, then the system displays standard lot size of the item as the default value.

Show Only Shortages

Select the checkbox to display the work orders along with activities, which are scheduled on the specified resource and activity having status "Q". Component Availability Check– An Overview

This report also helps you to check the stock of input items in warehouse along with the quantity ordered and quantity allocated before planning for any emergency work order. The “Shortage Quantity” directly gives the picture of key items required for manufacturing end item. This report also provides a multiple level Bill of Material (BOM) explosion for input items.

This page allows you to set the search filters based on which the component availability report is generated. You must specify the end item to view the report details. The plant, warehouse and the quantity of the end item can be specified as a part of search criteria. Additionally, you can also select the “Show Only Shortages” option to generate and display only the items that have quantity shortage. Based on the filters specified, you can generate the report.

This report is useful in finding the exact availability of the input items for the specified end item. This report gives you the statement of all the transaction based on the item, quantity or other details. The system retrieves and displays the input items at various levels including the end item specified in the search criteria. Further, the report gives you the elaborated picture of the required quantity of the input items with the end item. The required quantity is checked against the quantity on hand in inventory. Based on the stock availability in the inventory, the available quantity and the shortage quantity is calculated and displayed. For example, the report displays shortage for items even when the quantity on hand is more than the required quantity. This is because the quantity on hand must have been reserved for certain orders. The warehouse where the available quantity of the items is stocked can also be captured. All the transactions are displayed for the business unit, item, warehouse and the quantity in warehouse.
