Production Planning Report For Made To Order Products
This report gives you the picture of the sales and production plan. Report Information.
Select the “Production Planning Report For Made To Order Products” link under the “DP Reports”.
The “Production Planning Report For Made To Order Products” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Report Filters” group box:
Business Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to select the business unit. Mandatory. The system populates the values from “CIM Model” business component. The system displays the login BU by default on launch of the page. |
Plant |
Use the drop-down list box to select the valid plants where the items are identified. The system retrieves the warehouse organization units. The system displays the first value by default on launch of the page. |
From Date |
The starting date in the range of dates for which the production plan report details is to be viewed. You can also enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the codes that are similar to the value entered here. |
To Date |
The ending date in the range of dates for which the production plan report details is to be viewed. Mandatory. You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the codes that are similar to the value entered here. |
Time Interval |
Use the drop-down list box to select the time interval in which the production plan report details is to be viewed. Mandatory. You can select from “Daily”, “Weekly” or “Monthly. The system displays “Monthly” by default on launch of the page. |
Item Group From |
The starting code in the range of item groups for which the production plan report details is to be viewed. You can also enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the codes that are similar to the value entered here. The system ensures that this field is not left blank. |
Item Group To |
The ending code in the range of item groups for which the production plan report details is to be viewed. You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the codes that are similar to the value entered here. |
Enter the following details in the “Report Details” group box:

Select the check box to view the production plan report details for the item groups. |
Sales Plan |
Select the check box to view the sales plan report details for the item groups. |
Click the “Generate Report” pushbutton to retrieve and display the production planning details.
Based on the specification in the report filter, the system generates the report.
If the “Plant” drop-down list box is left blank, then the system retrieves all the item groups that belong to the given business unit.
If both “From Date” and “To Date” are left blank, then the system displays the “current date” as the “From Date” and “sum of current date and max MPS horizon” as “To Date”.
Based on the time interval option selected, the system displays the report in that interval buckets. In case if the time interval option selected is “Monthly”, then the system displays the report on “Monthly” basis. The first interval date will be the “From Date” and the second interval date will be the “sum of From Date and time interval value”.
In case if “Item Group From” is only specified, then the system retrieves and displays the production planning details in ascending order. Additionally if “Item Group To” is also specified then the system displays the production planning details within the specified range.
In case if “Item Group To” only is specified, then the system retrieves all the production planning details using the like operator. For example: In case if “Item Group From” is specified as “z%” and “Item Group To” is specified as “Null”, then the system retrieves all the item groups starting with alphabet “A” till the item group starting with alphabet “Z”.
The reports are generated based on the report option selected. If none of the check boxes are selected then the system displays an error message. If the “Sales Plan” option is selected, then the system displays the sales plan details for the item group. Similarly, if “Production Plan” option is selected, then the system displays the production plan details for the item group.
Based on the criteria specified, the system calculates and displays the following:
Planned Bookings – displays all the forecast demands for the item-variants attached to the item group as planned demands. A planned demand is derived on adding all the demands in disposition for which the due date falls in the period and having "Production Forecast" order category.
Actual Bookings – the sale order quantity and need date for the item-variants attached to the item group are summed up and displayed as actual demands. Actual demand is derived on adding all the demands in disposition for which the due date falls in the period and having "Sale Order" order category.
Deviation – displays the deviation for each interval. It is the difference between actual demand or production and planned demand or production.
Cumulative Deviation – the deviation of the specified interval is added to sum of all the previous deviations.
Customer Order – the sale order quantity and promised date for the item-variants attached to the item group for each interval are summed up and displayed as customer orders.
Actual Shipment – the actual shipment quantity and date for the item-variants attached to the item group for each interval are summed up and displayed as actual shipment. The actual shipment is displayed with respect to pack slip quantity and date.
Planned Production – displays all the work orders for which the due date falls between the “From” and “To” dates and having status “Accepted”, “Requested” or “Firmed”.
Actual Production – displays all the work orders for which the due date falls between the “From” and “To” dates and having status greater than or equal to “Released”.
Production Planning Report for Made to Order Products – An Overview
This report is similar to the “Made To Stock” report except the items are checked against the backlogs. This report also displays the essential comparisons that are used for managing the production and sales planning process. This report is valid for a “Made to Order” environment. This environment determines the stock ordered for planning the production and sales of the products. The products are produced entirely to suit the customer specifications.
This page allows you to set the search filters for a group of items. The business unit and the plant where the group of items are identified form a part of the criteria. You must specify a single item group or a range of item groups and select the required interval time period. The planning details are displayed based on the type of interval selected as “Weekly”, “Monthly” or “Yearly”. Further, you can choose the report options “Sales Plan” or “Production Plan” to display the corresponding report details. You can select a specific report option or in a combination as per the requirement.
The production planning report is generated to display the demands and the corresponding supplies that could meet the demands. The made to stock report is displayed based on the selection of the following report options:
4 Sales Plan – Displays the planned bookings, actual bookings and the deviation with respect to the actual and planned bookings as sales transactions. Additionally, the system displays the cumulative deviation for the current period added to the previously defined deviations along with the customer orders. The customer orders promised on a particular date and the date of actual shipment of the promised orders are exploded as a part of sales plan report.
4 Production Plan – Displays the planned orders, actual orders and the deviation with respect to the actual and planned orders as production transactions. The system also displays the cumulative deviation for the specified interval added with the the previously defined deviations.
All the transactions are displayed for the business unit, item group, current date and current backlog.
