This activity presents you with search criteria where you can search for the item details and the same can be transferred to the main page. You can specify the item, variant of the item and the warehouse where the item is identified in the search filter. Further, you can also select the type of the item, plant where the item is valid and the control units and initiate the search operation. The search can be initiated by specifying either selective fields or the combination of the fields. On initiating the search, the system retrieves the corresponding results that match the criteria in the multiline. If no search criteria are specified, the system retrieves all the items defined in the Organization Unit. The selected details are transferred to the main page when it is confirmed.
Click the lens icon positioned along the “Item Code” field.
The “Help On Item Code” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Item Code |
The code that identifies the item. Enter the item code and the system retrieves all the item details that match the item code |

Variant Code |
The code or number identifying the variant of the item. |

Desc. |
The description for the combination of the item and its variant. |
|

Zoom facility available. |
|
Item Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user-defined types of the item. |
|
Warehouse Code |
The code identifying the warehouse where the item is identified. |
|
Plant |
Use the drop-down list box to select the plants where the items are identified. |

Maintained By |
Use the drop down list box to select the “Maintained By” control units for which the login user has access permission. |

Material Planner |
Use the drop down list box to select the material planners defined in the control unit. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the item details.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Item Code |
The code identifying the item. |
|
Variant Code |
The code or number identifying the variant of the item. |
|
Desc. |
The description for the combination of the item and its variant. |

Item Type |
The user-defined types of the item. |
|
Warehouse Code |
The code identifying the warehouse where the item is identified. |
|
Plant |
The plant where the item is identified. |
|
UOM |
The production unit of measurement of the item. |
|
Item Rev. No. |
The current revision number of the item. This is displayed only if the item is under Engineering Change Control. This field cannot be modified. |

Material Planner |
The material planner defined for the item in the control unit. |
|
Maintained By |
The “Maintained By” defined in the control unit. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the item details.
Click the “OK” pushbutton to transfer the item code details to the main page.
