This page allows you to modify the order modifiers defined in the inventory for the primary output item of the product structure. Tell me more

The “Edit Order Modifiers” page appears.

The system displays the following details:

PS No.

The number identifying the product structure.

Note: If the product structure number and the item code has been specified in the main page. The system retrieves the corresponding order modifiers.

PS Desc.

The description of the product structure.

 

Zoom facility available.

Status

The status of the product structure. It can be “Active”, “Draft” or “Inactive”.

Note: A product structure can be modified in “Draft“ status.        

Item Code

The code identifying the primary output item.

Variant Code

The code or number identifying the variant of the item.

Desc.

The description in the combination of the item/item variant.

 

Zoom facility available.

Maintained By

The “Maintained By” control units for which the login user has access permission.

Material Planner

The material planner defined in the control unit.

Note: If PS number and item code has been specified in the main page. The system retrieves the warehouse mapped to the output item. For that warehouse, the system retrieves the material planner defined in the “Item Administration” business component.

UOM

The production unit of measure of the item.

Lead Time Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the time unit required to produce the primary output item. You can select from “Day”, “Week”, “Month”, “Year” or “None”.

Note: If PS number and item code has been specified in the main page. The system retrieves the lead-time for the output item.

Mfg. Lead Time

The time required to produce the primary output item is defaulted from inventory. If lead time unit is set to “None”, then manufacturing lead time must be null. If the lead time unit is set to anything other than “None”, then manufacturing lead time must not be left blank.

Std. Order Qty.

The ideal order quantity of the output item.

Std. Batch Qty.

The ideal batch quantity of the output item. The standard batch qty should be greater than or equal to “1”.

The system displays the following:

Planning Policy

The planning policy that can be either Lot for Lot or Periodic Order or Fixed Lot policy defaulted from inventory.

Fixed Order Qty.

The fixed order quantity of the item. If order policy is fixed lot size policy, then the fixed order quantity must be specified.

Note: If the order policy is Fixed Order Qty, then the minimum and maximum order quantity and order step quantity should be left blank. If the order policy is either Lot For Lot or Periodic Order, then the fixed order qty should be left blank.

Min. Order Qty.

The minimum order quantity of the item. If order policy is either Lot for Lot or Periodic Order the minimum order quantity should be defined as the multiple of order step quantity. If the minimum order qty is not specified, then this field is set to “0”.

Note: If the order policy is either Lot For Lot or Periodic Order, then the minimum order qty should be less than or equal to maximum order qty.

Max. Order Qty.

The maximum order quantity of the item. If order policy is either Lot for Lot or Periodic Order the maximum order quantity should be represented as the multiple of order step quantity. If the maximum order qty is not specified, then this field is set to “High Value”.

Order Step Qty.

The order quantity that is used to find the optimal order quantity. The minimum order quantity is incremented by a multiple of this quantity to arrive at an optimal work order quantity.

Note: If the order policy is either Lot For Lot or Periodic Order, then order step quantity should be less than the maximum lot size.

Valid From

The date from which the product structure becomes valid. If the date is specified, it should be in correct date format. If the date is not specified, then the system displays “Low Date” as the default date. The valid from date should be lesser than the valid to date.

Valid To

The date till which the product structure is valid. If the date is specified, it should be in correct date format. If the date is not specified, then the system displays “High Date” as the default date.

Shrinkage Factor

The percentage of scrap of the primary output item. If the shrinkage factor is specified, then it should be more than “0%” and less than “99%”.

 Note: The maximum scrap or shrinkage factor defined cannot exceed “99”.

The system ensures that the product structure details have to be saved before the order modifiers are modified. The login user should have “Modify” or “All” access permission for the "Maintained by" control unit.

The system saves the order modifiers for the specified product structure and refreshes the screen.

The login user ID and the system date are updated in the “Created By”, “Created Date”, “Edited By” and “Edited Date” fields.

The system displays the following:

Created By

The login user ID of the person who has created the order modifiers.

Created Date

The date on which the order modifiers were created.

Edited By

The login user ID of the person who has edited the order modifiers.

Edited Date

Edit Order Modifiers – An overview

Activity overview

This page is used to edit the order modifiers for the primary output item. The order modifiers for the selected item of the product structure can be edited depending upon the lot for lot size or fixed lot size or periodic order policy of an item. You can also capture and modify the manufacturing  lead-time, the validity dates to indicate the validity of the item and the scrap or shrinkage factor of the output item.

On modifying the necessary fields, you can update the changes made to the output item for the product structure. You can use these details to replace the order modifiers in the mass change product structure.
