Item Serial Number Allocation Details
This page allows you to allocate the serial number details for a specific pack slip and allocation line number. You can specify a range for the serial number. Based on the range specified, the serial numbers are retrieved and displayed in the multiline. Modification to the serial number details is allowed in this page. If the allocation method is set to “Manual”, then the system ignores the modifications done in this page.
Select the “Item Serial Number Details” link at the bottom of “Maintain Pack Slip” page.
The “Item Serial Number Allocation Details” page appears.
The system retrieves and displays the following pack slip details:
Pack Slip Number |
The number identifying the pack slip. |
Pack Slip Date |
The date on which the pack slip was created. |
Status |
The status of the pack slip. |
Enter the following detail in the “Pack Slip Details” group box:
Pack Slip Line Number |
Use the drop-down list box to select the number identifying the line item in the pack slip. The system populates all the line numbers for the selected pack slip. |
Allocation Line Number |
Use the drop-down list box to select the number identifying the line allocated to the item at warehouse. The system populates all the allocation line numbers based on the pack slip line number selected. |
The system retrieves and displays the following details based on the pack slip and allocation line number selected in the “Pack Slip Details” group box:
Allocation Method |
The method in which the items specified in the pack slip is allocated in the warehouse. It can be “LIFO”, “FIFO”, “Manual”, “Maximum Zone / Bin” and “Minimum Zone / Bin”. |
Item Type |
The type of item. It can be “Item”, “Model”, “Kit”, “Service” or “Capital”. |
Item Code |
The code identifying the item. |
Item Variant Code |
The code identifying the item variant. |
Pack Slip Quantity |
The quantity of item for which pack slip is made. |
Pack Slip Allocated Quantity |
The quantity of item that can be allocated for dispatch from the pack slip quantity. This quantity should be less than pack slip quantity. |
Allocated Quantity |
The quantity of items that have been allocated. |
Warehouse Code |
The code identifying the warehouse from which the goods must be dispatched. |
Zone |
The number identifying the zone within the warehouse. |
Bin |
The number identifying the bin where the item is maintained. |
Lot Number |
The number identifying the lot number of the item. |
Pack UOM |
The unit of measurement of the item in the pack slip. |
Attribute Based Allocation |
To indicate if attribute based allocation of the item specified in the pack slip is allowed or not. It can be either “Yes” or “No”. |
Enter the following detail in the “Pack Slip Details” group box:
Serial Number From |
The starting number in the range of serial numbers for which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 18). You can also enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the serial numbers that are greater than or equal to the value entered here. If this field is left blank and the “To” field is entered, then the system retrieves the serial numbers starting from the first till the serial number specified in the “To” field. |
Serial Number To |
The ending number in the range of serial numbers for which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 18). The system lists all the serial numbers that are lesser than the value entered here. The number entered here must be greater than the number entered in the “Serial Number From” field. |
The system displays the following:
Alternate UOM |
The alternate unit of measure of the goods dispatched. |
Guaranteed Shelf Life |
The guaranteed shelf life of the item in the pack slip. |
Shelf Life Unit |
The shelf life per unit of the item in the pack slip. |
Alternate Quantity |
The alternate quantity of the goods dispatched. |
Enter the following field in the “Serial Number Details” multiline:
Serial Number |
The number identifying the serial number of the item for which the issue is made from inventory (Integer). |
The system displays the following:
Alternate Quantity |
The alternate quantity of the goods dispatched. |
Note: The system checks for the existence of the serial numbers in the specified zone bin for the item. The system ignores the changes made if the allocation method is set to “Manual”.
Click the “Allocate” pushbutton to allocate the serial number details of the selected pack slip.
The serial numbers should add up to the allocated lot quantity.
