This page allows you to modify the serial numbers for the selected work order. Serial number is assigned to item in order to identify each item for tractability purpose. The serial numbers are automatically generated by the system once the quantity of the item is reported using the production-reporting screen. You can select the work order and the activity sequence for which the serial numbers are to be modified. The corresponding work order details are displayed in the header and serial number details are displayed in the multiline.
In this screen, you can view the serial numbers that are reported against the selected activity of the work order. You can also display the lot numbers or the serial numbers for the work order and the process plan sequence combination both reported and not reported in the multiline. The lot/serial numbers can be displayed for the selected by-product item if the item is a secondary output item. Once the lot/serial numbers are displayed in the multiline, the status of the specific serial number can be changed for the purpose of reporting at each activity. The status change is also based on the setting of rejection or scrap identified for the serial number controlled item. You can report the serial numbers that are in “Pending” status. You cannot modify the serial numbers in the “Reported” status. You can also delete the serial numbers that are in “Pending” status displayed in the multiline. You can initiate the delete operation on the selected records.
Select the “Edit Serial Nos” link at the bottom of the page.
The “Edit Serial Numbers” page appears.

Show Reported Serial No. |

If this field is not selected, then the system retrieves all the pending serial numbers. The system leaves the box “Unchecked” by default on launch of the page. For the specified Work Order and PP Seq combination If the specified PP Seq is the one where the Lot No/Serial No is enabled, then the system enables Reported Serial No. Otherwise, the system disables it. The system retrieves the details pertaining to the work order in the header and retrieves the serial number details in the multiline. The system also retrieves serial numbers for "All" option of the Lot Nos. If the "Reported Serial No" is enabled then the system displays the serial number having status as "Reported" else displays the serial number with "Pending" status. |

|
By / Co - Product |
Use the drop-down list box to select the by/co – products. The By/Co – Product should not be blank. If it is associated to the Work Order and PP Seq combination, the system retrieves the values as defined in the product structure as secondary output/non – backflush items and I/O field set to “O” along with a blank row. If the Work Order and PP Seq is not left blank and if there exist By/Co - Product that are serial no controlled and are associated to the Work Order and PP Seq combination, then the system populates the values as defined in the Product structure along with blank. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page. |
|
Warehouse Code |
The code or number identifying the warehouse to which the reported output items need to be sent. If PP Seq is the last activity of the work order or the specified reporting item is for the By/Co – Product and if the warehouse is not specified, then the system defaults the warehouse as defined for the item in the work order product structure. It also checks whether the specified warehouse is valid for the item in the work order product structure. If new warehouse is specified, then the system validates it against the “Storage Administration” business component. |

For the specified By/Co - Product and Lot No, if there exist serial numbers then the system retrieves all the serial number and populates onto the multiline. The system also checks whether specified Lot No is valid for the work order. If the By/Co - Product is not blank, then the system checks whether the specified Lot No is valid for the By/Co – Product. |
|
UOM |
The unit of measure of the output item of the work order. |
The system displays the following in the “Serial No. Information” multiline:
|

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the serial numbers.
Click the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the selected serial number details in the multiline.
The system ensures that at least one record should be selected for deletion in the multiline. It also ensures that the specified Work Order and PP Seq should not have “Completed” status. The system checks whether the records in the multiline match the specified Work Order, PP Seq and Lot No specified in the header. The login user should have at least “Modify” access permission to the “Production Controller” or to the department of the activity corresponding to the PP seq.
The system deletes only those serial numbers which are having the status as "Reported" for the specified PP Seq and also checks the selected serial number is not reported in the downstream activities if reported displays an error message. If the reported serial number deleted for the PP Seq which is not the one enabled for Lot No/Serial No generation and if the selected serial no is not in “Reported” status in the subsequent activities then the system reverts the deleted serial no as "Pending" for the activity.
Note: Deletion of serial no is applicable only at the PP Seq where the serial no is generated and in subsequent activities the status would be reverted from “Reported” to “Pending”.
The system consolidates the selected serial nos for deletion based on the status i.e. as "Accepted", "Rejected", "Scrap" and updates the reduced "Accepted Qty", "Rejected Qty", "Scrap Qty" of the specified PP Seq based on the record selected for deletion. If only "Accepted" status serial no is selected for deletion then the system updates the "Accepted Qty" and also updates the "Completed Qty" and “Balance Qty" for the PP Seq.
The system checks whether specified Lot No or Serial No belong to the selected By/Co – Product. If the selected serial numbers in the multiline belongs to the By/Co – product then based on the status of the serial numbers the system updates the reduced "Accepted", "Rejected", "Scrap” quantity. It also updates "Completed Qty" and "Rejected Qty" for the "By/Co - Product".
The system deletes the selected record and displays the success message on deletion and refreshes the details. During refreshing the system displays the undeleted record along with original header details.
Click the “Edit Serial No ” pushbutton to modify the serial number details.
The system ensures that at least one record should have been in the multiline. The system checks whether the login user has reporting permission to the "production controller" of the work order or to the department to which the "work order/activity" belongs for the Work Order and PP Seq combination. The status in the multiline cannot be modified for the serial numbers having status as "Reported". If modified, then the system displays an error message. Only the serial numbers with status "Pending" could be reported.
For the selected record in the multiline for reporting the system consolidates the serial numbers based on the status "Accepted", "Rejected" or "Scrap" selected. The system changes the status of the reported serial numbers as "Reported" and if there exist immediate down stream activity then the system sets the available serial numbers for reporting with status as "Pending".
The system saves the details and refreshes the screen. During screen refresh the system displays only the serial numbers not reported in the multiline, which means the reported serial numbers should be removed from the multiline.
