Every organization must report costs as period actuals, budgets, past actuals, year’s accumulated figures and the variances between actuals and budgets, at various levels of aggregation. This need results in development of several preformatted reports in an organization. However, the details to be reported vary from one organization to another. Thus, templates are created and stored in order to dynamically add information to the reports.

This activity allows you to create such templates. You can create a column structure for the report based on which the columns of the report are printed, in the “Maintain Column Structure” page.

This activity also allows you to specify the data to be defaulted in the report in the “Maintain Report Definition” page. The details entered here are stored as part of the template, which can later be modified during report generation.
