This page allows you to define a sale TCD account. You can create a sale TCD account with or without parameters. A sale TCD account without parameters, can be defined for a combination of finance book, TCD code, TCD variant and the TCD type which could be “Tax”, “Charge” or “Discount”. You can also define a sale TCD account with parameters like: TCD type, delivery area, customer group, sales channel, sale type, processing action sale purpose and promotion ID. The system saves the sale TCD account defined and also stores the login ID if the user and the system date along.
Select the “Create TCD Account Definition” link from the “Create Sale Account Definition” page.
The “Create TCD Account Definition” page appears.
Enter the following fields:
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book to which the financial transactions are posted. All the finance books of the company to which the login organization unit has been mapped, are available for selection in ascending order. The system displays the first finance book in the list by default on launch of the page. |
TCD Code |
The code identifying tax, charge or discount, based on which the sale TCD account is defined (Alphanumeric, 10). Mandatory. This code must have been defined in the "Taxes / Charges / Discounts" business component and must be in "Active" status. |

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether tax levied is part of the sales cycle. |
Enter the following fields in the “Account Details” multiline.
Delivery Area Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the delivery area. The system lists the delivery area code only if the “Delivery Area Code” TCD sales parameter has been set to “Yes”. The “Delivery Area Code” must have been defined in the “Create Delivery Area” activity of the “Delivery Area” business component. The system leaves the field blank by default on launch of the page. |
Customer Group Code |
The code identifying the customer group (Alphanumeric, 6). The customer account group must have been defined in the “Customer Group” business component. This field is mandatory if the “Customer Group Code” TCD sales parameter has been set to “Yes” in this activity. |

Sales Channel |
Use the drop-down list box to select code identifying the sales channel based on which the sale TCD account has been defined. All the sales channels that has been defined for the login company will be available for selection. The system leaves the field blank by default on launch of the page. |
Processing Action |
Use the drop-down list box to select the processing action. You can select from “Make”, “Buy” or “Dropship”. The system leaves the blank by default on launch of the page. |
Sale Purpose |
Use the drop-down list box to select the purpose of the sale. It could be "Samples", "Sales" etc. The system lists the sale purpose only if the “Sales Purpose”, if the TCD sales parameter has been set to “Yes”. These sales purposes must have been defined in the "Create Category" activity of the "Category" business component and must be in "Active" status. The system leaves this field blank by default on launch of the page. |
Sale Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the different type of sales. It could be "Internal", "External" or "Domestic". The system lists the sale type only if the “Sale Type” TCD sales parameter has been set to “Yes”. These different types of sales are defined in the "Create Category" activity of the "Category" business component and must be in "Active" status. The system leaves this field blank by default on launch of the page. |
Promotion Id. |
The code identifying the sales promotion (Alphanumeric, 16). The promotion ID must have been defined in the “Create Promotion” activity of the “Pricing – Promotions, Deals / Rules Mapping” business component. This field is mandatory if the “Promotion ID” parameter has been set to “Yes”. |
Account Code |
The code identifying the account (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. This field must have been defined in the “Create Operative Chart of Account” activity of the “Accounting Setup” business component. |

Dr. / Cr. |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether account is a debit or the credit account. You can select from “Dr” or “Cr”. The system leaves the field blank by default on launch of the page. |
Effective From Date |
The date from which the account definition details are effective (Date Format). Mandatory. This date must be the start date of the financial year or the financial period. |
Note: The following things must be taken care while entering the effective from date.
If for the TCD code “TCD1” and an account code “TCD123” as sale TCD account has already been defined and deleted with date range of 1st April 2001 to 31st March 2002, then the effective from date for the same combination must start from 1st April 2002.
If the account “TCD123” has already been mapped to a combination from 1st Apr 2001, has to be mapped to a different account “TCD456” with the same effective date, then the mapping with the account “TCD123” can be deleted and a new mapping can be done to the account “TCD456”.
Click the “Create’ pushbutton to create the sale TCD account.
The system defines the sale TCD account with or without parameters and also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along.
