This page allows you to specify data alarms for a view. It serves to display the data, which is specified as filter criteria to appear in a different, highlighted manner in the view. This kind of highlighting makes it easier for the viewer to spot data discrepancies as well as data impact.
Select the “Define Data Alarms” link in the “Select Columns” page.
The “Define Data Alarms” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:
View Display Name |
The name of the view, as it appears in the “Inquiries” activity. |
View Type |
The type of the view, which could be “Adhoc”, “Audit” or “Report”. |
View Access |
The access type of the view, which could be “Public” or “Private”. |
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. The system supports the “DD MMM YYYY” format. |
Time Format |
The format in which the time fields are displayed in this page. The system supports the “HH:MM:SS” format. |
The system displays the total number of records and the current record.
Click the “Prev” pushbutton to move to the previous record.
Click the “Next” pushbutton to move to the next record.
A When there are no records specified for the view, a new record appears when the screen is invoked. If records are available, the last record appears when the screen is invoked. To add a new record, go to the last record and click “Next”.
Enter the following fields:
Font Family |
The font family to be used, to display the data in the view output, meeting the current data alarm condition (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
Font Style |
The font style to be used, to display the data in the view output, meeting the current data alarm condition (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
The system displays the following field:
Preview |
The system displays the selected font family with the selected font style. |
Enter the following fields:
Text Color |
The color to be used for the text in the view output, meeting the current data alarm condition (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
Row Color |
The color to be used for the rows in the view output grid meeting the current data alarm condition (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
The system displays the following field:
Preview Text |
The system displays the preview of the text in the selected text color and row color. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Data Alarm Conditions” multiline:
Left Brace |
Use the drop-down list box to set the filter criteria using the left braces. The condition enclosed within the innermost braces would be executed first. |
Column Alias |
Use the drop-down list box to select the column name, required for the view. The system lists all the alias columns defined for the view, in the “Specify Columns” page. |
Filter |
Use the drop-down list box to select the filter criteria. The options include “Equal To”, “Smaller Than”, “Greater Than”, “Smaller Than or Equal To”, “Greater Than or Equal To”, “Between”, “Any Of”, “Starts With”, “Ends With”, “Contains”, “Blank”, “Null”, “Not Equal To”, “Not Between”, “Not in Any Of”, “Does not Start With”, “Does not End With”, “Does not Contain”, “Is not Blank” and “Is not Null”. |
Value |
The filter value for executing the view. The data type of the value entered depends on the column data type (Alphanumeric, 1000). |
A Values should be specified in the “Value” field for conditions other than “Between”, “Not Between”, “ Any Of” and “Not in Any Of”, specified in the “Filter” field.
The system displays the following field:
Enumerated Value |
The filter value defined for the view, when the filter is selected as “Between”, “Not Between”, “Any Of” or “Not in Any of”. |
Enter the following fields:
Right Brace |
Use the drop-down list box to set the filter criteria using the right braces. The condition enclosed within the innermost braces would be executed first. |
And/Or |
Use the drop-down list box to set the filter criteria as “And” or “Or”. Select “And” if both the conditions must be satisfied. Select “Or”, if the result must be retrieved even when one of the conditions is satisfied. |
Select the “Specify Enumerated Values” link to specify the enumerated values for the data.
Note: Ensure that “Column Alias” and “Filter” values are specified in the multiline. Also ensure that at least one record is selected in the multiline. Enumerated values can be specified only if the “Filter” is “Between”, “Not Between”, “Any Of” or “Not in Any of”.
Click the “Save Data Alarm” pushbutton to save the specified data alarm conditions.
