Safety Procedure

The safety procedure from which the hazards and precautions must be copied to the clearance permit (Alphanumeric, 30).

Note: The system copies the details of the hazards and the precautions that must be taken for warding off the hazards to the clearance permit.

Hazard

The hazard that is likely to occur when maintenance activities are carried out on the equipment/location (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the hazard is already defined in the “Create Hazard Master” activity and is in the “Active” status. Also ensure that the hazard is unique to the multiline.

Note: You cannot, however, modify a hazard that has already been attached.

The system displays the following fields in the multiline:

Desc.

The description of the hazard.

Hazard Type

The type of the hazard.

Remarks

Any additional information about the hazard (Alphanumeric, 255).

The system displays the following field:

Hazard

The hazard for which precautions are retrieved.

The system retrieves the following fields in the “Precautions” multiline:

Precautions

The precautions that must be taken for preventing the selected hazard.

Remarks

Any additional information about the precaution.

Note: The system attaches the hazards along with the precautions to the clearance permit.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the clearance permit.

Created Date

The date and time at which the clearance permit was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who attached the safety procedure to the clearance permit.

Last Modified Date

Create Clearance Permit - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to attach a safety procedure to the clearance permit. Safety Procedure consists of a set of hazards that are likely to occur while carrying out a maintenance activity and the precautions that must be taken to ward off the hazard. You can specify the hazards that are likely to occur to the clearance permit directly. Otherwise you can copy the hazards from a safety procedure.
