This page allows you to attach a safety procedure to the clearance permit. Tell me more.
Select the “Attach Safety Procedure” link from the bottom of the “Create Clearance Permit” page.
The “Attach Safety Procedure” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Copy” group box to copy the hazards from a safety procedure.

The safety procedure from which the hazards and precautions must be copied to the clearance permit (Alphanumeric, 30). |

Click the “Copy” pushbutton.
Note: The system copies the details of the hazards and the precautions that must be taken for warding off the hazards to the clearance permit.
If you had clicked the “Get Defaults” pushbutton in the “Create Clearance Permit” page, the system retrieves in the “Hazards” multiline, the safety procedures that have been defined as defaults for the equipment or location in the “Set Default Procedure” activity. You can also specify any additional hazards by entering the following fields in the “Hazards” multiline:

Hazard |
The hazard that is likely to occur when maintenance activities are carried out on the equipment/location (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the hazard is already defined in the “Create Hazard Master” activity and is in the “Active” status. Also ensure that the hazard is unique to the multiline. Press <Enter> Help facility available. |
Note: You cannot, however, modify a hazard that has already been attached.

Any additional information about the hazard (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the hazard for which you wish to view the precautions.
Click the “Show Precautions” pushbutton to retrieve the precautions.

Click the “Attach” pushbutton to attach the hazards and the precautions to the clearance permit..
Note: The system attaches the hazards along with the precautions to the clearance permit.

The login ID of the user who attached the safety procedure to the clearance permit. |

Attaching safety procedure to clearance permit – An overview
This page allows you to attach a safety procedure to the clearance permit. Safety Procedure consists of a set of hazards that are likely to occur while carrying out a maintenance activity and the precautions that must be taken to ward off the hazard. You can specify the hazards that are likely to occur to the clearance permit directly. Otherwise you can copy the hazards from a safety procedure. The system copies the safety procedure with all the hazards and the precautions that must be taken for warding off the hazard.
