This page allows you to define the various hazards that are likely to occur while carrying out maintenance activities. Tell me more.
Select the “Create Hazard Master” link from the left pane.
The “Create Hazard Master” page appears.
Enter the following fields:

Hazard |
A unique identifier of the hazard (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of characters and numbers. |

Enter the description of the hazard in the edit box alongside (Alphanumeric, 150). |

Hazard Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the hazard. The system lists all the hazard types that have been defined in the “Define Hazard Types” activity and which are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank if you wish not to specify any hazard type. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to set the status of the hazard. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive”, if you do not wish to refer to this hazard in other activities. The system displays “Active”, by default. |

User Defined |
Information defined by the user (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Enter the following fields in the “Copy” group box to create a hazard by copying the details from an existing hazard:

Hazard |
The hazard from which the details must be copied (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the hazard is already defined in this activity and is in the “Active” status. |

Click the “Copy” pushbutton.
Note: The system copies all the details of the hazard including precautions to the hazard that is being created.

Enter the following fields in the “Precautions” multiline:

Precautions |
The precaution that must be taken to prevent loss due to the hazard (Alphanumeric, 150). Ensure that the precaution is unique to the multiline. |

Remarks |
Any additional information regarding the precaution (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select those precautions that you do not wish to specify for the hazard.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline, to delete the selected precautions.
Click the “Create” pushbutton to create the hazard.
Note: The system creates the hazard with those precautions that are not marked for deletion.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the hazard. |

Created Date |
The date and time at which the hazard was created. |

Last Modified By |
In this activity, the system displays the login ID of the user who created the hazard. |

Last Modified Date |
In this activity, the system displays the date and time at which the hazard was created. |
Copy the details from an existing hazard
Copy the details from an existing hazard
You can create a hazard by copying the details from an existing hazard.
Enter the hazard from which the details must be copied in the “From Hazard” field.
Click the “Copy” pushbutton to copy the details of the hazard to the hazard that is being created.
The system creates a hazard by copying the details from an existing hazard.
