Selecting safety procedure for editing

Select Procedure

This page allow you to select the safety procedure to be edited. Tell me more.

Select the “Edit Safety Procedure” under the “EAM Clearance Permit System” business component.

The “Select Procedure” page appears.

Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box if you know the safety procedure to be edited:

Safety Procedure

The safety procedure to be edited (Alphanumeric, 30).

Select the “Edit Safety Procedure” link provided alongside, to edit the safety procedure.

To search for a safety procedure

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a safety procedure:

Safety Procedure	The safety procedure to be edited (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the safety procedure in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all safety procedures that are similar to the safety procedure entered here.
Desc.	The description of the safety procedure (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all safety procedures whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to search for a safety procedure based on it status. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the field blank to retrieve safety procedures irrespective of the status. The system displays “Active”, by default.
Procedure On	Use the drop-down list box to search for a safety procedure based on the maintainable object on which it must be performed. The system provides the options: “Equipment” and “Location”. Leave the field blank to retrieve safety procedures irrespective of the maintainable object on which it must be performed. The system leaves the field blank, by default. The system retrieves all the procedures that are attached to the maintainable object in the “Set Default Procedure” activity.
Code	The identifier of the maintainable object (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all safety procedures, which must be performed on equipment or location whose codes are similar to the code entered here.

Click the “Search” pushbutton.

Based on the filter criteria entered, the system retrieves the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Safety Procedure	The safety procedure retrieved by the system.
Desc.	The description of the safety procedure.
Activity On	The maintainable object on which the safety procedure must be performed.
Code	The identifier of the maintainable object on which the safety procedure must be performed.
Status	The status of the safety procedure, which can be “Active” or “Inactive”.

Click the hyperlinked safety procedure in the multiline to edit its details.

Selecting safety procedure for editing – An overview

You can select the safety procedure to be edited in this page. You can directly enter the safety procedure. Otherwise you can carry out a search based on the safety procedure, its description, status and the maintainable object on which the procedure must be performed. Based on the filter criteria entered, the system retrieves the details of the safety procedure for editing.
