Calib. Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the calibration schedule. The system lists all the calibration types that have been defined in the “Define Calibration Types” activity and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify a calibration type. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Lead Time (Days)

The lead-time required for carrying out the calibration order (Decimal). Ensure that the lead-time is not negative. The system displays “0”, by default.

Clearance

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether clearance is required or not for carrying out the calibration order. The system provides the options: “Required” or “Not Required”. The system displays “Not Required”, by default.

Permit Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the clearance permit that must be created for the calibration order. The system fills in this field with all the permit types that have been defined in the “Define Permit Types” activity of the “Clearance Permit” business component and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to select the permit type. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Generate WO?

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to generate a work order for the calibration schedule. The system provides the options: “Yes” and “No”.

WO Task/Proc.

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether a task or a procedure must be performed on the equipment for carrying out the work order. The system provides the options: “Task” and “SP”. The system displays “SP”, by default.

Code

The identifier of the task or the procedure that must be performed (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure the following:

  • If you have selected “Task” in the “Task/SP” field, ensure that the task is already defined in the “Create Task” activity of the “Task” business component and is in the “Active” status.

  • If you have specified “SP” in the “Task/SP” field, ensure that the procedure is already defined in the “Create Task” activity of the “Task” business component and is in the “Active” status.

WO Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the work order. The system fills in this field with all work order types that are defined in the “Define WO Types” activity and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify any work order type. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

WO Category

Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the work order. The system fills in this field with all work order categories that are defined in the “Define WO Category” activity and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify any work order category. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

WO Priority

Use the drop-down list box to specify the priority of the work order. The system fills in this field with all work order priorities that are defined in the “Define Priority” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify any work order priority. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Creating calibration schedule – An overview

This page allows you to create a calibration schedule for carrying out calibration on the equipment on the specified dates. You can create a calibration schedule using a unique code and provide a description and a status for it.

You must specify the equipment on which the schedule is created, the task or procedure that must be performed as a part of the schedule and the type of the calibration.

You can also specify the lead-time required for carrying out the calibration. For example, if the calibration is due to be performed on the 20th of every month and if a lead-time of 10 days is specified, the calibration order will be generated on the 10th of every month.

You can also generate work orders for the calibration schedule. The following details must be specified for generation of work orders:

The system creates the calibration schedule and stores the login ID of the user who created the schedule along with the date and time at which it was created.

Specify whether clearance is required or not for carrying out the calibration

You can specify whether clearance from specific authorities is required for carrying out the work order that is raised based on the calibration schedule.

If clearance is required, the system automatically generates a clearance request or clearance permit, based on the option that is set in the “Option Settings” activity of the “Clearance Permit” business component, for carrying out the calibration order. This is done when a calibration order based on the calibration schedule is generated.
