A user-defined group is a convenient classification of equipments into groups based on common characteristics such as area, location, manufacturer or any other user defined criteria. Tell me more.
Select the “Create User Defined Group” link under the “Equipment Induction” business component.
The “Create User Defined Group” page appears.
Enter the following fields:

User Defined Group |
A unique identifier for the user-defined group (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of characters and numbers and should not be left blank. |

Enter the textual description of the user-defined group in the edit box alongside (Alphanumeric, 150). |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to set the status of the user-defined group. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Equipment” multiline:

Eqp. |
The equipment to be associated to the user-defined group (Alphanumeric, 30). The equipment should have already been defined in the “Create Equipment” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component. The status of the equipment should be “Active” and the equipment should be unique in the multiline. |

Press <Enter>. The system displays the “Description” field in the multiline. |
The system displays the following field in the multiline:

The textual description of the equipment. |
Enter the following multiline field:

Remarks |
Any additional remark pertaining to the association of the equipment to the user-defined group (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, if you do not wish to associate the equipment to the user-defined group.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected equipment from the user-defined group.
Click the “Create” pushbutton, to create the user-defined group.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The login ID of the user currently logged in. |

The current date and time. |

Last Modified By |
In this activity, this field contains the login ID of the user currently logged in. |

Last Modified Date |
In this activity, this field contains the current date and time. |
Create Equipment.
You can classify equipments into groups based on common characteristics such as area, location, manufacturer or any other user defined criteria.
Enter a unique code for the user-defined group in the “User Defined Group[p” field.
Set the status of the group to “Active” or “Inactive”.
Enter the equipment which are the part of he group in the “Equipment” field in the “Equipment” multiline.
Click the “Create” pushbutton to create the user defined group.
