Selecting equipment for copying

Select Equipment

In this page, you can select the equipment for copying its details to another equipment. Tell me more.

Select the “Copy Equipment” link under the “Equipment Induction” business component.

The “Select Equipment” page appears.

Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the exact equipment to be copied:

Eqp.

The equipment to be copied (Alphanumeric, 30).

Select the “Copy Equipment” link provided alongside, to copy the equipment.

To search for an equipment

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for equipment. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Eqp.	The equipment to be copied (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the equipment in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment similar to the value entered here.
Desc.	The description of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment with description similar to the description entered here.
Type	Use the drop-down list box to retrieve equipment based on its type. The system displays the options “Normal”, “Rotable” and “Tool”. Leave the field blank, to retrieve equipment irrespective of the type. The system displays “Normal”, by default.
Location	The location of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment for which the locations are similar to the location entered here.
Parent	The parent equipment, of the equipment to be copied (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the equipment in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment for which the parent equipment is similar to the equipment entered here.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the equipment to be moved. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all the equipment irrespective of their status. The system displays “Active” by default.
Classification	The classification based on which you wish to retrieve equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the classification in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves equipment, which belong to similar classifications.
Sub-Classification	The sub-classifcation of the classification (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the sub-classification in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves equipment, which belong to similar classification – sub-classification combination.

Note: If all the fields are left blank, the system retrieves all the equipment in the multiline.

Click the “Search” pushbutton, to display the search results.

The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Eqp.	The equipment retrieved by the system.
Desc.	The description of the equipment.
Type	The type of the equipment, which can be “Normal”, “Rotable” or “Tool”.
Location	The location of the equipment.
Parent	The parent equipment of the equipment.
Status	The status of the equipment, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”.
Classification	The classification of the equipment.
Sub-Classification	The sub-classification of the classification.

Click the hyperlinked equipment in the multiline, to create new equipment by copying its details.

Selecting equipment for copying – An overview

You can enter the equipment directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the equipment, its description, type, status, the parent equipment, its location and the classification and sub-classification. Based on the filter criteria entered, the system retrieves equipment in the multiline, from which you can select the equipment for copying its details.
