This page allows you to select the equipment to be modified and view its details before modification. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Equipment” link under the “Equipment Induction” business component.
The “Select Equipment” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the exact equipment for which the details must be modified:

Select the “Edit Equipment” link provided alongside, to modify the equipment information.
To search for an equipment
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for equipment. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Eqp. |
The equipment to be modified (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the equipment in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment that are similar to the value entered here. |

Desc. |
The description of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment with description that is similar to the description entered here. |

Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the equipment to be modified. The system provides the options, “Normal”, “Rotable” and “Tool”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all the equipment irrespective of their type. The system displays “Normal” by default. |

Location |
The location of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment for which the locations are similar to the location entered here. |

Parent |
The parent equipment, of the equipment to be modified (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the equipment in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment for which the parent equipment is similar to the equipment entered here. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the equipment to be modified. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all the equipment irrespective of their status. The system displays “Active” by default. |

Classification |
The classification to which the equipment belongs (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the classification in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment belonging to similar classification. |

Sub-Classification |
The sub-classification of the selected classification (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the sub-classification in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment belonging to similar classification – sub-classification combination. |
Note: If all the fields are left blank, the system retrieves all the equipment in the multiline.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Selecting equipment for editing – An overview
If you know the exact equipment to be modified, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the equipment, its description, equipment type, location of the equipment, the parent equipment, equipment status, classification and sub-classification of the equipment. The system retrieves the details of the equipment based on the search criteria entered. Details such as the equipment description, type, location, the parent equipment, equipment status, classification and sub-classification are displayed.
