Selecting equipment for viewing

Select Equipment

This page allows you to select the equipment to view its details. Tell me more.

Select the “View Equipment” link from the “Equipment Induction” business component.

The “Select Equipment” page appears.

Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the exact equipment for which the details must be viewed:

Eqp.

The equipment for which the details must be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30).

Select the “View Equipment” link provided alongside, to view the equipment information.

To search for an equipment

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for equipment. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Eqp.	The equipment to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the equipment in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment whose values are similar to the value entered here.
Desc.	The description of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment with description is similar to the description entered here.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the equipment to be viewed. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all the equipment irrespective of their status. The system displays "Active” by default.
Location	The location of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment for which the locations are similar to the location entered here
Parent	The parent equipment of the equipment to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the equipment in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the equipment for which the parent equipment is similar to the value entered here.
Type	Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the equipment to be viewed. The system provides the options, “Normal”, “Rotable” and “Tool”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all the equipment irrespective of their type. The system displays “Normal” by default.
Classification	The classification to which the equipment belongs (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the classification in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment belonging to similar classification.
Sub-Classification	The subclassification of the selected classification (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the subclassification in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment belonging to similar classification – subclassification combination.

Note: If all the fields are left blank, the system retrieves all the equipment in the multiline.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Eqp.	The equipment retrieved by the system.
Desc.	The description of the equipment.
Type	The type of the equipment, which can be “Normal”, “Rotable” or “Tool.
Location	The location of the equipment.
Parent	The parent equipment of the equipment.
Status	The status of the equipment, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”.
Classification	The classification to which the equipment belongs.
Sub-Classificaiton	The subclassification of the classification.

Selecting equipment for viewing – An overview

If you know the exact equipment to be viewed, you can directly enter it Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the equipment, its description, equipment type, location of the equipment, the parent equipment, equipment status, classification and subclassification of the equipment. The system retrieves the details based on the search criteria entered. Details such as the equipment description, type, location, the parent equipment, equipment status, classification and subclassification are displayed.
