This page allows you to create a formula. Tell me more.
Select the “Formula Builder” link at the bottom of the “Equipment Parameter” page.
The “Create Formula” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
|
Formula |
The formula ID as entered in the “Equipment Parameter” page. |
|
Enter the description of the formula in the edit box alongside (Alphanumeric, 150). |
|
|
Zoom facility available. |
Enter the following field:
|
Formula Content |
The content of the formula (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
The system displays the following fields:
|
Eqp. |
The equipment, for which the parameter formula is created. |
|
Parameter |
The parameter for which the formula is created. |
Note: You can define a formula only for a parameter whose source of updation is “Formula”.
The system displays the following fields in the “Parameter - Inspection Point” multiline:
|
Parameter |
The parameter that is attached to the equipment. |
|
Type |
The type of the parameter, which can be “Range” or “Consumption”. |
|
Inspection Point |
The inspection point that is attached to the parameter. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the parameter, which you wish to define in the formula.
Note: If you wish to define a formula for a consumption parameter, ensure that you select only consumption parameters in the multiline.
Click the “Transfer” pushbutton, to transfer the selected parameter to the “Formula Content” field.
Enter any arithmetic operator between the parameters in the “Formula Content” field.
Note: If you selected a parameter – inspection point combination in the multiline to be transferred, the system considers the value of the parameter at the particular inspection point for the formula.
Click the “Create Formula” pushbutton, to create the formula.
Note: The system saves the formula and stores the login ID of the user who created the formula along with the date and time at which the formula was created.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:
|
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the equipment. |
|
Created Date |
The date and time on which the equipment was created. |
|
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the equipment. |
|
Last Modified Date |
The date and time on which the equipment was last modified. |
Click the “Cancel” pushbutton, to return to the previous page.
Creating a formula – An overview
You can define a formula for the “Formula – ID” that you have entered in the “Formula” field in the “Equipment Parameter” page. On launch of this page, the system retrieves the equipment and the parameter of the equipment for which formula is to be defined. The system also retrieves in the multiline, the consumption and range parameters that are attached to the equipment along with the inspection points.
You can select parameters from the multiline and transfer them to the “Formula Content” field. You can then define a formula by concatenating the parameters with arithmetic operators. You can also define a formula with parameter – inspection point combination. In this case, the system considers the value of the parameter at the inspection point for the formula.
The system stores the formula along with the login ID of the user who created the formula and the date ant time at which the formula is created.
