This page allows you to specify the spare parts that are required for carrying out the maintenance activities on the equipment. Tell me more.
Select the “Spare Parts” link at the bottom of the "Edit Equipment" page.
The “Spare Parts” page appears.
Enter the following field, if you wish to define spare parts to an equipment other than the equipment selected in the main page:

The equipment for which you wish to identify the spare parts (Alphanumeric, 30). |

Press <Enter>. The system lists the spare parts that are already identified for the equipment, in the multiline. The description of the equipment is displayed alongside. |

Type |
The type of the equipment, which can be “Normal”, “Rotable” or “Tool”. |
Enter the following fields in the “Spare Parts” multiline, if you wish to add new spare parts for the equipment:

Item |
The spare part to be attached to the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the spare part has already been defined as item in the “Item Administration“ business component of the ”Inventory Management System” module of “Ramco Corporate Solutions”. This field cannot be modified. |

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the “Description” field in the multiline. |

Variant |
The variant of the spare part (Alphanumeric, 5). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if the variant has been defined for the spare part item in “Item Administration“ business component of the ”Inventory Management System” module of “Ramco Corporate Solutions”. |

The textual description of the spare part. |
Enter the following multiline fields:

Qty. |
The number of spare parts required for the completion of the maintenance task on the equipment (Decimal). Ensure that the quantity is greater than zero. |

Part Number |
The reference number of the item, which is similar to the item and variant mentioned with respect to features, characteristics or functionality. (Alphanumeric, 40). |

Remarks |
Any additional information about identifying the spare part for the equipment (Alphanumeric, 150). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select the spare part that you do not wish to attach to the equipment.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected spare parts.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton, to update the details of the spare part.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the equipment. |

Created Date |
The date and time on which the equipment was created. |
|
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the equipment. |
|
Last Modified Date |
The date and time on which the equipment was last modified. |
Click the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the previous page.
Attaching spare parts to the equipment – An overview
Spare parts that are defined with an item number and a variant in the “Item Administration“ business component of the ”Inventory Management System” module of “Ramco Corporate Solutions” are identified for the equipment in this page.
You can specify the spare parts for the equipment selected in the main page. You can also directly enter an equipment code other than the equipment selected in the main page, and specify the spare parts for it. You can enter the spare part item number, variant, quantity required, spare part number and any other additional information about entering the spare part for the equipment. You can also modify or delete the spare parts that are already identified for the equipment.

In the “Item” field, enter the item number and the variant of the spare part as it is defined in the Item Administration“ business component of the ”Inventory Management System” module of “Ramco Corporate Solutions”.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton, to attach spare parts to the equipment.
