The “Change Parameter Source” page appears.

Equipment

The equipment for which the source of updation of parameters must be changed (Alphanumeric, 30).

 

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the “Type” field. The system also retrieves in the “Parameter” multiline, the parameters that are attached to the equipment. The description of the equipment is displayed alongside.

 

Zoom facility available.

The system displays the following field:

Type

The type of the equipment, which can be “Normal”, “Rotable” or “Tool”.

The system displays the following fields in the “Parameter” multiline:

Parameter

The parameter for which source of updation must be defined.

Type

The type of the parameter, which can be “Attribute”, “Range” and “Consumption”.

Description

The description of the parameter.

Current Source

The current source from which the value of the parameter is updated.

New Source

Use the drop-down list box to select the source from which the parameter value must be updated. The system provides the following options:

 
  • Manual – Select this option, to indicate that the parameter value should be updated manually.

 
  • Parent – Select this option, to indicate that the parameter value should be updated from the parent equipment as defined in the “Equipment Creation” page. This option is applicable only for a consumption parameter.

 
  • RTI – Select this option, if the parameter must be updated from the real time integration system of the plant.

 
  • Formula – Select this option, if the parameter must be updated by a formula. This option is applicable only for a range or a consumption parameter.

 
  • Parameter - The parameter (Consumption only) must be updated by a parameter (Attribute only).

Formula

The formula to be specified for a parameter whose “New Source” field is set to “Formula” (Alphanumeric, 150). The formula should be specified  only for a parameter that is of type “Range” or “Consumption”. Ensure the following:

  • the formula is already defined in the “Create Formula” activity of the “Formula Builder” business component or in the “Create Formula” page in this activity.

  • the formula should be in “Active” status.

  • the formula does not contain the same parameter to which it is attached.

 

Press <Enter>. The system displays the “Formula Content” field in the multiline.

The system displays the following field in the multiline:

Formula Content

The content of the formula specified in the “Formula” field.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the equipment.

Created Date

The date and time on which the equipment was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the equipment.

Last Modified Date

A parameter value of the equipment can be updated from various sources. They are:

This page allows you to specify the source from which parameter values can be updated. You can specify the source of updation for the parameters of the equipment selected in the previous page. You can also enter an equipment code directly in this page and update the source for its parameters.
