This page allows you to attach task and procedure categories to the equipment. Tell me more.
Select the “Equipment Task / SP” link at the bottom of the “Edit Equipment” page.
The “Equipment Task / SP” page appears.
Enter the following field, if you wish to specify task or procedure categories for an equipment other than the equipment entered in the previous page:

The equipment to which task or procedure categories must be attached (Alphanumeric, 30). |

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the task or procedure categories that are already attached to the equipment in the multiline. The description of the equipment is displayed alongside. |

The type of the equipment, which can be “Normal”, “Rotable” or “Tool”. |
Enter the following fields in the “Task / SP Category” multiline, to attach task or procedure categories to the equipment:

Task / SP Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to attach a task or a procedure category. The system provides the options “Task” or “SP”. |

Category Code |
The task or procedure category that must be attached to the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the task or procedure category is already defined in the “Define Task / SP Categories” activity of the “Task” business component and is in “Active” status. |

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the “Description” field in the multiline. Help facility available. |
The system displays the following field in the multiline:

The description of the task or procedure category. |
Enter the following field:

Remarks |
Any additional information about attaching the task or procedure category to the equipment (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select the task or procedure categories that you wish to delete from the equipment.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected task or procedure categories from the equipment.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton, to attach the task or procedure categories to the equipment.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The login ID of the user who created the equipment. |

Created Date |
The date and time on which the equipment was created. |

Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the equipment. |

Last Modified Date |
The date and time on which the equipment was last modified. |
Click the “Cancel” pushbutton, to return to the previous page.
Attaching task or procedure categories to the equipment – An overview
The different tasks and procedures belonging to the category specified here would be available for carrying out maintenance activities on the equipment. For example, when a task category of “Overhauling” is attached to the equipment, all the tasks that belong to this category can be performed as a part of maintenance activities on the equipment.
You can attach task and procedure categories to the equipment selected in the previous page. You can also enter an equipment code directly in this page and attach task and procedure categories to it. You can also delete an existing category from the equipment.

Set the “Task / SP” field to “Task” or “SP”, to indicate whether a task or procedure category must be attached to the equipment.
Enter the task or procedure category in the “Code” field in the multiline.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton.
The different tasks and procedures belonging to the category specified here would be available for carrying out maintenance activities on the equipment.
