This page allows you to move a rotable from one placeholder to another. Tell me more.

The “Move Rotable” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Transaction No.

The number automatically generated by the system, to keep a record of the rotable movement.

Date

The date and time on which the rotable is moved. The system displays the current date and time.

Desc.

The reason for which the rotable is being moved (Alphanumeric, 150).

 

Zoom facility available.

The system displays the following fields:

Rotable

The rotable that must be moved.

The description of the rotable is displayed alongside

Eqp.

The equipment to which the rotable is attached.

 

The description of the equipment is displayed alongside.

Last Moved On

The date on which the rotable was last moved. If the rotable had not been moved before, the system displays the date on which the rotable was attached to its placeholder.

 

The system displays alongside, the time at which the rotable was last moved.

Move Date

The date on which the rotable is moved (Date Format). Mandatory. Ensure that the date entered here,

 
  • Is not a future date.

 
  • Is not earlier than the date on which the rotable was attached to its placeholder. If there is no attachment date for the rotable, ensure that the date entered is not earlier that the installation date of the equipment.

 
  • Is not earlier than the date on which the placeholder entered in the “New PlaceHolder” field, is installed.

 

Enter the time at which the rotable is moved, in the edit box alongside (Time Format).

The system displays the following field:

Current Loc.

The location of the rotable before it is moved.

 

The system displays the description of the location alongside.

New Loc.

The new location to which the rotable is to be moved (Alphanumeric, 30) Mandatory. Ensure that the location is already defined in the “Create Location” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component and is in the “Active” status. The system displays the current location by default.

Press <Enter>. The system displays the description of the location.

 

Zoom facility available.

Note: Ensure that the new location and the new placeholder are not the same as the current location and current placeholder.

The system displays the following field:

Current PlaceHolder

The placeholder to which the rotable is currently attached.

 

The description of the current placeholder is displayed alongside.

New PlaceHolder

The new placeholder to which the rotable must be moved (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. Ensure that the placeholder is already defined in the “Create Equipment” activity and is in “Active” status. Also ensure that no other rotable is attached to this placeholder. The system displays the current placeholder, by default.

Current Rotable Condition

The present condition of the rotable.

 

The system displays the description of the condition alongside.

New Rotable Condition

Use the drop-down list box to specify the condition of the rotable after its movement to the new location. The system lists all the conditions that are defined in the “Define Equipment Condition” activity and which are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify any equipment condition. The system displays the current rotable condition, by default.

 

Press <Enter>. The system displays the description of the condition alongside.

Ref. WO

The work order by which the rotable was moved (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the work order is already defined in the “Create WO” activity of the “Work Order” business component.

Record the rotable movement details

The system generates a number for the rotable movement transaction.

If the source of updation of parameter values for the moved rotable has been set to “Parent”, the parameter values of the rotable are updated from its new parent.
