This page allows you to view the equipment hierarchy. The system displays the hierarchy details of the equipment that is selected in the “View Equipment” page. You can traverse the hierarchy level by level, to view all the equipment that is attached at the various levels in the hierarchy.
Select the “Equipment Hierarchy” link at the bottom of the “View Equipment” or the “Equipment PlaceHolder” page.
The “Equipment Hierarchy” page appears.
Enter the following field:

Parent |
Use the drop-down list box to select the equipment for which you wish to view the hierarchy details. The system displays the equipment that is selected in the “View Equipment” page, when the page is launched for the first time. On clicking the “Next” pushbutton, the system fills this drop-down list box with the child equipment in the multiline, sorted in the alphabetical order. The description of the equipment is displayed alongside. Zoom facility available. |
The system displays the following field:

Type |
The type of the equipment, which can be “Normal”, “Tool” or “Rotable”. |
The system retrieves all the child equipment belonging to the selected parent spare structure, in the “Children” multiline.

The equipment, which is attached to the equipment displayed in the “Parent” field. |

Type |
The type of the equipment, which can be “Normal”, “Tool” or “Rotable”. |

Rotable |
If a placeholder is displayed in the multiline, the system displays the rotable that is attached to it, in this field. |
Click the “Next” pushbutton, to fill the “Parent” drop-down list box with the equipment displayed in the multiline. Also, the system automatically lists the child equipment of the first equipment in the drop-down list box, in the multiline.
The system fills the “Parent” drop-down list box with all the child equipment in the multiline. The equipments are listed in the alphabetical order and the first equipment is displayed by default. The child equipments belonging to this default equipment are retrieved in the multiline.
Note: If the “Equipment” field in the multiline is a placeholder, the system transfers the rotable of the placeholder to the “Parent” field.
Click the “Previous” pushbutton, to fill the “Parent Structure” drop-down list box with the equipment that are in the previous level. Also, the system automatically lists the child equipment of the first equipment in the drop-down list box, in the multiline.
The system fills the “Parent Structure” drop-down list box with the equipment defined at the previous level in the hierarchy. The equipments are displayed in the alphabetical order and the first equipment is displayed by default. The child equipments belonging to this default location are retrieved in the multiline.
