Define Location Types – A summary of the activity

Location types are user-defined types of locations, such as shop floor, office premises, workshop, repair shop and warehouse. Defining location types will be useful when you wish to identify the events occurring in a particular type of location.

In this activity, you can define the location type with a unique code, and provide a description and status for the location type. You can later identify a location that is created in the “Create Location” activity with a location type.

The system stores the location type and the login ID of the currently logged in user and sets the created date and time to the system date and time respectively.

You can also modify the details of location types that are already defined. Details such as the location type, description and remarks can be modified. The system stores the login ID of the currently logged in user and the date and time at which the location type was last modified.
