Help On New Parent

In this screen, you can select the new parent by carrying out a search based on filter criteria such as the location code, its description, status, planning group, landmark, location type and parent location. The system retrieves the new parent based on the search criteria and displays the results in the multiline.

Click on the lens icon positioned next to the “New Parent” group box:

The “Help On New Parent” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Location Code	Enter the code identifying the location.
Desc.	Enter the description of the location.
Status	Use the drop-down list to select the status. Possible selections are “Active”, “Inactive”. Select Blank if both the type of the status has to be retrieved. Ie., Both Active and Inactive status.
Planning Group	Enter the Planning Group.
Landmark	Enter the landmark of the planning group.
Location Type	Use the drop-down list to selection the location type.
Parent Loc.	Enter the parent location.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered.

Note: There is a location code that would be populated in the hidden control from the previous page (i.e) the page from which this help page is launched. The systems leaves out all the location that are already attached to this hidden Location code in any level of the hierarchy. It then applies the search criteria. If all the fields are left blank, the system retrieves all the new parent in the multiline. The system retrieves all the new parent locations that are not-attached to the parent location.

The system displays the following details in the “Search Results” multiline:-

Location Code	Displays the code identifying the location.
Desc.	Displays the description of the location.
Parent Loc.	Displays the parent location.
Planning Group	Displays the planning group.
Location Type	Displays the type of location.
Status	Displays the status.
Landmark	Displays the landmark.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the new parent.
Click the “Ok” pushbutton to transfer the selected details to the main screen.
