Using On Line Help

The “Define Types” page appears.

Note: When this page is invoked, the system lists all the types that are already defined in the system, in the multiline. You can modify these details, if required.

Type

A unique identifier for the type (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of characters and digits and cannot be left blank. Once created, this field cannot be modified. Ensure that the type is unique within the multiline.

Desc.

The textual description of the type (Alphanumeric, 150).

Applies To

Use the drop-down list box to select the group for which the type is applicable. The system provides the options “Work group”, “Planning group” and “Both”.

 
  • Work group – Select this option if the type is applicable for the work groups alone.

 
  • Planning group – Select this option if the type is applicable for the planning groups alone.

 
  • Both – Select this option if the type is applicable for both work groups and planning groups.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to set the status of the type. The status could be “Active” or ”Inactive”. Set the status as “Active”, if you wish to attach the type to a work group or planning group. The system sets the field to “Active” by default.

 

Set the status as “Inactive”, if you wish to disable the type from future reference in other activities.

Remarks

Any remark or comment pertaining to the type (Alphanumeric, 80).

The system displays the following fields in the multiline:

Last Mod. By

The login ID of the user who last modified the details of the type.

Last Mod. Date

The date on which the type was last modified.

Last Mod. Time

The time at which the type was last modified.

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the type.

Created Date

The date on which the type was created.

Created Time

The time at which the type was created.
