Select the “Define Priority” link under the “EAM Maintenance Organization” business component.
The “Define Priority” page appears.
Note: When this page is invoked, the system lists all the priority codes that are already defined in the system, in the ascending order, in the multiline. You can modify these details, if required.
Enter the following fields in the “Priorities” multiline:
Priority Code |
A unique identifier for the priority (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of characters and numbers and cannot be left blank. |
Desc. |
The textual description of the priority (Alphanumeric, 150). |
Seq. No. |
The sequence in which the priority should be displayed wherever the it is referred (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer and is unique in the multiline. |
If you leave the sequence number blank for all the multiline rows, the system rearranges the multiline rows in the alphabetical order of priority and automatically assigns a sequence number to each of them, in multiples of five, on clicking the “Update” pushbutton. |
Note: If you have left the sequence number blank for some of the multiline rows, the system arranges those rows in the alphabetical order of priority, and numbers these rows to be the last in the sequence. The system then rearranges the rows in the ascending order of the sequence number and renumbers the rows with multiples of five.
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to set the status of the priority to “Active” or “Inactive”. The system sets the field to “Active” by default. |
Set the status as “Inactive”, if you wish to disable this priority from future reference in other activities. |
Note: If you leave this field blank, the system assigns the “Active” status to the priority.
The system fills in the following multiline fields on clicking the “Update” pushbutton:
Last Mod. By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the priority details. |
Last Mod. Date |
The date on which the priority details were last modified. |

Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the priority. |
Created Date |
The date on which the priority was created. |
