This page allows you to redefine the parameters that are attached to the location. Tell me more
Select the “Attach Parameters” link at the bottom of the “Edit Location” page.
The “Update Location Parameters” page appears.
If you wish to attach parameters to a location other than the location entered in the previous page, enter the following field:
|
Location |
The location to which parameters must be attached (Alphanumeric, 30). |
|
Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the parameters already attached to the location. The description of the location is retrieved alongside. |
|
|
Zoom facility available. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Already Attached Parameters” multiline:
|
Parameter |
The parameters attached to the location. |
|
Type |
The type of the parameter, which can be “Technical”, “Attribute”, “Consumption” or “Range”. |
|
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the consumption or range parameter. |
|
Source |
The source from which the parameter must be updated. |
Enter the following field in the multiline:
|
Hourly Usage |
The estimated hourly consumption of the parameter (Decimal). Ensure that the value is positive. If you leave the field blank, the system sets this field to zero. |
The system displays the following multiline fields:
|
Present Value |
The current value of the parameter. |
|
Date |
The date on which the present value of the parameter is recorded. |
|
Time |
The time at which the present value of the parameter is recorded. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
|
Seq. No. |
A unique number that identifies the order in which the parameters must be displayed in the multiline (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer. |
|
If you leave the sequence number blank for all the multiline rows, the system automatically assigns a sequence number to each of them, in multiples of five, on clicking the “Edit” pushbutton. |
Note: If you have left the sequence number blank for some of the multiline rows, the system arranges those rows in the order in which the parameters have been entered in the multiline, and numbers these rows to be the last in the sequence. The system then rearranges the rows in the ascending order of the sequence number and renumbers the rows with multiples of five.
|
Remarks |
Any additional information regarding modifying the location parameter (Alphanumeric, 150). |
|
Formula |
The formula that is associated to the parameter (Alphanumeric, 150). You can specify a formula only for a parameter that is of type “Range” or “Consumption” and whose source of updation is “Formula”. On specifying a formula ensure that,

Formula Content |
The content of the formula entered in the “Formula” field. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the parameter for deletion, or to select the attributer parameter for defining its values.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the parameters that are marked for deletion.
Note: Ensure that the parameter is not defined as the life parameter. Also ensure that values of the parameter have not been recorded to parameter history.
Enter the following fields in the “New Parameter” multiline:

Redefining location parameters – An overview
This page allows you to redefine the parameters that are attached to the location selected in the “Edit Location” page. The system also allows you to directly enter a location code, other than the location selected in the “Edit Location” page, and re-define its parameters.
The system displays the parameters that are already attached to the location. You can specify the following details for these parameters:
The hourly usage of the parameter
The sequence number in which the parameters would be displayed in the multiline
The formula that must be associated to the parameters whose source of updation is formula.
You can attach more parameters to the equipment by entering the parameter, the present value of the parameter and the date and time at which the present value of the parameter is recorded. You can also specify the estimated hourly consumption of the parameter, the sequence in which the parameters must appear in the multiline and any other additional information relevant to the parameter.
Note: The source for updation for all newly attached parameters is “Manual”.
You can also delete the parameters that are already attached to the location.
“Create Parameter” under the “Equipment Induction” business component.
