Help on PM

This page allows you to retrieve the details of preventive maintenance that are already defined. You can carry out the search using the preventive maintenance number, its description and status, the equipment or location on which preventive maintenance is to be carried out, task or procedure that must be performed as a part of the preventive maintenance, location of the equipment, equipment and location group on which preventive maintenance is to be carried out and the work group responsible for preventive maintenance. Based on the search criteria entered, the system retrieves the details in the multiline.

Click the lens icon positioned next to the “PM” field in the Dependent PM page.

The “Help on PM” page appears.

PM	The preventive maintenance to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the preventive maintenance in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance schedules similar to the preventive maintenance entered here.
PM Desc.	The description of the preventive maintenance schedule (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance schedules whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.
	Zoom facility available
Status	Use the drop-down list box to retrieve preventive maintenance schedules based on the status. The system displays “Active” or “Inactive”. Leave the field blank to retrieve preventive maintenance schedules irrespective of the status. The system displays “Active”, by default.
PM On	Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to edit the preventive maintenance schedules that have been raised on equipment or location. The system provides the options: “Equipment” or “Location”. Leave the field blank, to retrieve preventive maintenance schedules that have been raised on both equipment and location. The system displays “Equipment” by default.
Code	The equipment or location for which preventive maintenance schedule has been raised (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance schedules that have been raised on equipment or location similar to the code entered here.

PM Type	Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the preventive maintenance for which you wish to retrieve the details. The system fills in all preventive maintenance types that have been defined in the “Define PM Types” activity and are in the “Active” and “Inactive” statuses. Leave the filed blank to retrieve preventive maintenance schedules irrespective of the type.
Task/Proc.	Use the drop-down list box to specify the task or procedure, which must be performed as a part of the preventive maintenance. The system provides the options: “Task” or “SP”. Leave the field blank to retrieve preventive maintenance schedules on which tasks and procedures must be performed. The system leaves the field blank, by default.
Task/Proc. Code	The task or procedure, which must be performed as a part of the preventive maintenance (Alphanumeric, 30). If you have specified “Task” in the “Task/SP” drop-down list box, ensure that you enter a task in this field. If you have specified “SP” in the drop-down list box, ensure that you enter a procedure in this field.

Work Group	The work group that is responsible for carrying out the preventive maintenance (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the work group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance schedules, which must be carried out by work groups similar to the work group entered here.

Location	The location of the equipment on which preventive maintenance must be done (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance schedules that can be carried out on equipment whose locations are similar to the location entered here.

Eqp. Group	The equipment group to which the equipment on which preventive maintenance must be carried out belongs (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the equipment group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves the preventive maintenance schedules that are defined for the equipment group entered here.

Location Group	The location group to which the location on which preventive maintenance must be carried out belongs (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves the preventive maintenance schedules that are defined for the location group similar to the location group entered here.

Click the “Search” pushbutton.

The system retrieves the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

PM	The preventive maintenance schedule retrieved by the system.
Desc.	The description of the preventive maintenance.
Status	The status of the preventive maintenance template, which can be “Active” or “Inactive”.
PM On	The maintainable object on which the preventive maintenance is carried out. The system displays “Equipment” or “Location”.
Code	The identifier of the equipment or location.
PM Type	The type of the preventive maintenance.
Task/Proc.	Indicates whether a task or standard procedure must be carried out as a part of the preventive maintenance.
Code	The task or procedure that must be carried out as a part of preventive maintenance.
Work Group	The work group that is responsible for carrying out the preventive maintenance.
Location	The location of the equipment.
Eqp. Group	The equipment group for which the preventive maintenance is defined.
Location Group	The location group for which the preventive maintenance is defined.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the preventive maintenance schedule.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
