This page allows you to select the preventive maintenance template for which the associated schedules must be updated. Tell me more.
Select the “Update Associated PM” link from the left pane.
The “Update Associated PM” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box if you are aware of the preventive maintenance template for which preventive maintenance schedules must be updated:

PM Template |
The preventive maintenance template for which the associated preventive maintenance templates must be updated (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Click the “Update Associated PMs” link provided alongside, to update the preventive maintenance schedules that are associated with the preventive maintenance template.
To search for a preventive maintenance template
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:

PM Template |
The preventive maintenance template for which the associated preventive maintenance schedules must be updated (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the preventive maintenance template in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance templates similar to the preventive maintenance template entered here. |

Desc. |
The description of the preventive maintenance template (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance templates whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. |

PM Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the preventive maintenance template for which you wish to retrieve the details. The system fills in all preventive maintenance types that have been defined in the “Define PM Types” activity and are in the “Active” and “Inactive” statuses. Leave the field blank to retrieve preventive maintenance templates irrespective of the type. The system leaves the field blank by default. |

Item |
The item for which preventive maintenance schedules must be raised based on the template (Alphanumeric, 32). You can enter the item in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance templates, which are created for items similar to the item entered here. |

Variant |
The variant of the item (Alphanumeric, 8). You can enter the variant in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance templates, which are raised on item–variant combinations similar to the item–variant combination entered here. |

Eqp. Group |
The equipment group of the equipment on which preventive maintenance schedules must be raised based on the template (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the equipment group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance templates, which are created for equipment groups similar to the equipment group entered here. |

Task/Proc. |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the task or procedure, which must be performed as a part of the preventive maintenance. The system provides the options: “Task” or “SP”. Leave the field blank to retrieve preventive maintenance templates that raised preventive maintenance schedules on which tasks and procedures must be performed. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

Code |
The task or procedure which must be performed as a part of the preventive maintenance (Alphanumeric, 30). If you have specified “Task” in the “Task/SP” drop-down list box, ensure that you enter a task in this field. If you have specified “SP” in the drop-down list box, ensure that you enter a procedure in this field. |

Location Group |
The location group of the locations on which preventive maintenance schedules must be raised based on the template (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance templates, which are raised on location groups similar to the location group entered here. |

Work Group |
The work group that is responsible for carrying out the preventive maintenance (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the work group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all preventive maintenance templates that raises preventive maintenance schedules, which must be carried out by work groups similar to the work group entered here. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton.
Based on the filter criteria entered, the system retrieves the details of preventive maintenance templates that are in the “Active” status in the “Search Results” multiline:

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the preventive maintenance template to update its associated preventive maintenance schedules.
Click the “Update Associated PMs” pushbutton to update the schedules that are created from the templates.
Note: The system updates the preventive maintenance schedules based on any modifications that are made on the preventive maintenance template from which the schedules are created.
Click the hyperlinked preventive maintenance template in the multiline, to update the preventive maintenance schedules that are created from the preventive maintenance template.

This page allows you to select the preventive maintenance template for which the associated schedules must be updated. You can enter the preventive maintenance template directly, or you can carry out a search based on the following fields:
The preventive maintenance template and its description
The item and the variant of the equipment for which the preventive maintenance template is created
The equipment group or the location group for which the template is created
The task or procedure that must be performed as a part of the preventive maintenance
The type of the preventive maintenance
The work group that is responsible for carrying out the preventive maintenance
Based on the search criteria entered, the system retrieves the preventive maintenance templates from which you can select the template for editing.
