This activity allows you to create a route. A route is a physical path that is defined for carrying out the inspection and lubrication activities. Tell me more.

The “Create Route” page appears.

Route

A unique identifier for the route (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter a combination of characters and numbers in this field.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the route. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive”, if you do not wish to refer to the route in other activities. The system displays “Active”, by default.

Desc.

The description of the route (Alphanumeric, 150).

Update On

Use the drop-down list box to specify the maintainable object on which the inspection must be performed. The system provides the options: “Equipment” and “Location”.

Code

The equipment or location on which inspection must be performed (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure the following:

 
  • If you have selected “Equipment” in the “Inspection On” field, ensure that the code entered here is defined as equipment in the “Create Equipment” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component and is in the “Active” status. Also ensure that the equipment entered here is not defined as a placeholder.

 
  • If you have selected “Location” in the “Inspection On” field, ensure that the code entered here is defined as a location in the “Create Location” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component and is in the “Active” status.

 
  • If you have left the “Update On” field blank, ensure that the code entered in this field is already defined as equipment or location.

The system displays the following field in the multiline:

Desc.

The description of the equipment or location.

Inspection Point

The inspection point on the equipment or location where inspection must be carried out (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the inspection point is already defined in the “Create Inspection Point” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component and is in the “Active” status. Also ensure that the inspection point is attached to the “Equipment – Parameter” combination in the “Create Equipment” activity of “Equipment Induction” business component or the “Location – Parameter” combination in the “Create Location” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component respectively.

Note: Ensure that the “Update On – Code – Inspection Point” combination is unique to the multiline.

Seq. No.

The sequence in which the inspection must be done (Integer). Data entry in this field is mandatory if equipment or location is entered in the “Code” field. Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer and is unique to the multiline.

Remarks

Any additional information about the route (Alphanumeric, 255).

Note: The system creates the route and displays the “Description” field in the multiline.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the route.

Created Date

The date and time at which the route was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the route.

Last Modified Date
