This activity allows you to define a chart for carrying out lubrication jobs in a plant. Tell me more.

To search for the equipment or location for which lubrication chart must be defined

Location

The location of the equipment for which you wish to retrieve the lubrication charts that have been defined (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all locations similar to the location entered here.

Work Group

The work group which is responsible for carrying out the lubrication (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the work group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment or locations on which work groups similar to the work group entered here, are responsible for carrying out lubrication work.

On

Use the drop-down list box to retrieve the lubrication charts defined for equipment or location. The system provides the options: “Equipment” or “Location”. Leave the field blank, to retrieve lubrication charts that have been defined for both equipment and location. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Code

The equipment or location for which you wish to retrieve the lubrication charts that have been defined (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment or location codes similar to the code entered here.

Based on the search criteria entered, the system retrieves in the “Lubrication Chart” multiline, the details of the lubrication charts that have already been defined. You can define more lubrication charts by entering the following fields in the multiline:

Lub. On

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether lubrication charts must be defined for equipment or location. The system provides the options: “Equipment” or “Location”. The system displays “Equipment” by default.

Code

The equipment or location for which you wish to define lubrication charts (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure the following:

 
  • If you have selected “Equipment” in the “Lub. On” field, ensure that the code entered here is defined as equipment in the “Create Equipment” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component and is in the “Active” status. Also ensure that the equipment entered here is not defined as a placeholder.

 
  • If you have selected “Location” in the “Lub. On” field, ensure that the code entered here is defined as a location in the “Create Location” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component and is in the “Active” status.

 
  • If you left the “Lub. On” field blank, the system checks if the code entered in this field is already defined as equipment or location.

The system displays the following field in the multiline:

Desc.

The description of the equipment or location.

Inspection Point

The inspection point on the equipment or location on which lubrication must be performed (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the inspection point is already defined in the “Create Inspection Point” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component and is in the “Active” status. Also ensure that the inspection point is attached to the “Equipment – Parameter” combination in the “Create Equipment” activity of “Equipment Induction” business component or the “Location – Parameter” combination in the “Create Location” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component respectively.

Note: Ensure that the “Lub. On – Code – Inspection Point” combination is unique to the multiline:

Interval

The period after which the lubrication must be carried out on the equipment or location (Decimal). Ensure that the interval is a positive number. The system displays “0”, by default.

Interval Unit

Use the drop-down list box to specify the interval unit. The system provides the options: “Days”, “Weeks”, “Months” and “Years”. Do not leave the field blank, if you have specified an interval in the “Interval” field. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Initial Date

The date on which the first lubrication must be carried out on the equipment or location (Date Format). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if an interval is specified in the “Interval” field. Ensure that the date entered is the current or a future date.

Lub. Item Code

The code of the item that is required for carrying out the lubrication job (Alphanumeric, 32). Ensure that the item is already defined in the “Item Administration“ business component of the ”Inventory Management System” module of “Ramco Corporate Solutions” and is in the “Active” status.

Variant

The variant of the item (Alphanumeric, 8) as defined in the “Create Item – Main Information“ activity of the “Item Administration“ business component of the ”Inventory Management System” module of “Ramco Corporate Solutions”. Data entry in this field is mandatory if the variant is defined for the item in ”Inventory Management System” module.

Desc.

The description of a non-standard item (Alphanumeric, 150). The system displays this field for a standard item.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the item that is required for carrying out the lubrication job (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that you do not leave this field blank, if you have left the “Lub. Item Code” field blank and entered a description in the “Description” field.

Qty.

The number of items that are required for carrying out lubrication (Decimal).

Work Group

The work group that is responsible for carrying out the lubrication (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. Ensure that the work group is already defined in the “Create Work Group” activity of the “Work Group” business component and is in the “Active” status.

Task / Proc. Code

The task or the procedure that must be carried out for the inspection (Alphanumeric, 30). If you have specified a task, ensure that the task has already been defined in the “Create Task” activity of the “Task” business component. If you have specified a procedure, ensure that the procedure is already defined in the “Create Procedure” activity of the “Task” business component.
