This page allows you to amend or modify the parameter value that has already been updated. Tell me more.
Select the “Amend Parameter Values” link at the bottom of the “Select Record For Amendment” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked date in the multiline of the same page.
The “Amend Parameter Values” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:

The number of the amendment made, which is generated automatically by the system. |

The date on which the parameter value is amended. The system displays the current date by default. |
Enter the following field:

The reason for which the parameter value is amended (Alphanumeric, 150). |

The system displays the details of the parameter before amendment in the “Original (Before Amendment)” column.
Record the details of the parameter amendment in the “New (After Amendment)” column:

The system displays the date on which the parameter was updated. |

The time at which the parameter was updated, is displayed alongside. |
|

Enter the date on which the parameter value has been recorded, in the edit box alongside (Date Format) Mandatory. |

The system displays the value of the parameter as on its last update. |

Enter the employee ID of the user who has amended the parameter value in the edit box alongside (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the employee has already been defined in the “Define Employee” activity of the “Resources” business component and is in “Current” status. |

Click the “Amend Parameter Value” pushbutton, to amend the parameter value.
The system amends the parameter value and performs the following:
For a consumption parameter,
If the parameter was being updated by a new value, the system amends the parameter value with the value that is entered in the “Value” field.
If the parameter was being updated by an incrementing value, the system amends the parameter value by adding the value entered in the “Value” field to the last updated value of the parameter.
The system updates the parameter values for the following:

all the formula based parameters, which refer to this parameter in the formula |
|
|
for all child equipment in the equipment hierarchy having the parameter updation source as “Parent” |
|
|
for all rotables that are attached to the equipment |
Checks for existence of any usage based preventive maintenance schedules for the equipment. If the value of the parameter updated exceeds the 'Next Value' as per the scheduling options, a preventive maintenance work order will be generated.
Generates inspection orders and calibration orders based on the inspection schedules and the calibration schedules that have been defined for the equipment.
The system performs the following for a “Range” or “Attribute” parameter:
If the parameter is of type “Attribute”,

Amends the parameter value for an attribute parameter with the value entered in the “Value” field |
|
|
Generates the appropriate remedial action, such as raising of work orders, based on the parameter value entered and the triggers defined |

If the parameter is of type “Range”,

Amends the parameter value for a Range parameter with the value entered in the “Value” field |

Updates the value of all the formula based parameters, which refer to this parameter in the formula |

Generates the appropriate remedial action, such as raising of work orders based on the amended parameter value and the triggers defined |

The login ID of the user who created the amendment transaction. |

Amending Parameter Values – An overview
This page allows you to amend or modify the parameter value that has already been updated. The system generates a number for the amendment. The system also displays the details of the parameter value as on the specified date of update. You can amend the parameter value by entering the following details:
The description of the amendment or the reason for which the parameter value is amended.
The date and time on which the amendment is made on the parameter value.
The amended value of the parameter.
The employee ID of the user who has amended the parameter value.
Any additional information about the amendment.
The system amends the parameter value and does the following:
Updates the parameter value with the amended value.
Updates the parameter values of rotables and child equipment belonging to the equipment.
Updates the values of all parameters which are related to this parameter through a formula.
Generates predictive maintenance work orders, calibration orders and inspection orders based on the amended parameter value.
Note: The parameters that have been updated by a meter reset cannot be amended in this activity.

You can amend or modify the parameter value that has already been updated. Enter the amended value of the parameter in the “Date” field under the “New (After Amendment)” column.
Enter the employee ID of the employee that amended the value in the “Reported By” field under the “New (After Amendment)” column.
Click the “Amend Parameter Value” pushbutton to record the details of the amendment.
