This page allows you to reset the meter of the selected consumption parameter. Tell me more.
Select the “Meter Reset” link at the bottom of the “Select Parameter” page.
The “Reset Meter” page appears.
The system displays the following field:

Transaction No. |
The transaction number of the meter reset, that is automatically generated by the system. The system displays this field only on clicking the “Reset” pushbutton. |

The date and time on which the meter is reset. The system displays the current date and time. |

The reason as to why the meter is reset (Alphanumeric, 150). |

The equipment or location for which the consumption parameter is reset. |

Highest Value Before Meter Reset |
The value of the parameter before the meter was reset (Alphanumeric, 30) Mandatory. Ensure that the value entered here is not negative and is greater than the last updated value of the parameter. |

New Starting Value After Meter Reset |
The starting value of the parameter after the meter is reset (Alphanumeric, 30) Mandatory. Ensure that the value is not negative. |

Meter Reset Date |
The date on which the meter is reset (Date Format) Mandatory. Enter the time at which the meter is reset in the edit box alongside (Time Format) Mandatory. |
Note: Ensure that the date and time entered in the “Meter Reset Date” is later than the date and time displayed in the “Last Update Date” field and before the current system date and time.

The employee ID of the user who reset the meter (Alphanumeric, 20). Ensure that the user has already been defined in the “Define Employee” activity of the “Resources” business component and is in “Current” status. Help facility available. |

Click the “Reset” pushbutton to reset the meter.
The system resets the meter and performs the following:
Updates the parameter log with the following details:

The date and time on which the parameter was updated, with the date and time in the “Meter Reset Date” field. |
|
|
The value that is entered in the “New Starting Value after Meter Reset” field as the current value of the parameter. |
|
|
The value of the parameter before the meter reset. |
The system updates the parameter values for the following:
|
|
all the formula based parameters, which refer to this parameter in the formula. |
|
|
for all child equipment in the equipment hierarchy having the parameter updation source as “Parent”. |
|
|
for all rotables that are attached to the equipment. |
Generates a number for the transaction and displays it in the “Transaction No.” field.
Checks for existence of any usage based preventive maintenance schedules for the equipment. If the value of the parameter updated exceeds the 'Next Due Value' as per the scheduling options, a preventive maintenance work order will be generated.
Generates inspection orders and calibration orders based on the inspection schedules and the calibration schedules that have been defined for the equipment.

You can reset the meter by entering the following details:
The last value of the meter before it was reset.
The new value of the meter after it was reset.
The date and time on which the meter is reset.
Employee ID of the user who has reset the meter.
Any additional information about the meter reset.
The system resets the meter of the consumption parameter and also does the following:
It updates the parameter with the new value that is entered on meter reset.
The system updates all the parameter values of the child equipment and rotable equipment belonging to the equipment.
The system updates parameters that are related to the parameter for which meter is reset, by a formula.
Generates predictive maintenance work orders, calibration orders and inspection orders based on the value of the consumption parameter after meter reset.
