The system performs the following for a consumption parameter:
If the “Delta / New” drop-down list box is set to “New”, the system updates the already existing parameter value with the value entered in the “Value” field for the equipment – parameter – date – time combination.
If the “Delta / New” drop-down list box is set to “Delta”, the system adds the value entered in the “Value” field to the last updated value and sets the resultant value as the parameter value for the equipment – parameter – date – time combination.
The system updates the parameter values for the following:
|
|
all the formula based parameters, which refer to this parameter in the formula. |
|
|
all child equipment in the equipment hierarchy having the parameter updation source as “Parent”. |
|
|
all rotables that are attached to the equipment, having the parameter updation source as “Parent”. |
Checks for existence of any usage based preventive maintenance schedules for the equipment. If the value of the parameter updated exceeds the 'Next Value' as per the scheduling options, a preventive maintenance work order is generated.
Generates inspection orders and calibration orders based on the insepction schedules and the calibration schedules that have been defined for the equipment.
Refreshes fields in the multiline with the details of the update that is currently done on the parameter.
The system performs the following for a “Range” or “Attribute” parameter:
If the parameter is of type “Range”,
|
|
Updates the parameter value for a Range parameter with the value entered in the “Value” field for the Equipment – Parameter – Inspection Point - Date – Time combination. |
|
|
Updates the value of all the formula based parameters, which refer to this parameter in the formula. |
|
|
Generates the appropriate remedial action, such as raising of work orders, based on the parameter value entered. |
If the parameter is of type “Attribute”,
|
|
Updates the attribute parameter with the value entered in the “Value” field for the Equipment – Parameter – Inspection Point – Date – Time combination. |
|
|
Generates the appropriate remedial action, such as raising of work orders, based on the parameter value entered. |
|
|
If the parameter is a conditional parameter, then the system calculates the difference in duration between the last update and the current update in the value and updates the difference to the consumption parameter that has been attached to the attribute parameter. |
Refreshes the fields in the multiline with the details of the update that is currently done on the parameter.
Click the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to view the other parameters that are affected by updating the parameter in the multiline.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Affected Consumption Parameters” link below the “Consumption Parameters” multiline or the “Affected Range & Attribute Parameters” link below the “Range & Attribute Parameters” multiline, to view the other parameters that are affected by updating the parameter for the date and time in the “Date” and “Time” fields in the multiline.
Update Parameter Log – An overview
This page allows you to update the range, consumption and attribute parameters of the equipment / location selected in the “Select Equipment/Location” page. You can also update the parameters, which can be updated through the Real Time Integration, as well as the parameters that can be updated from their parent parameters. The parameters that can be updated by a formula cannot be updated in this activity.
You can update consumption parameters by entering the following details:
The value of the consumption parameter
Whether the value is a delta value or a new value
The date and time on which the value was updated
The employee ID of the user who has updated the value
Any additional information about updating the value
The system updates the consumption parameters and also does the following:
Updates any formula based parameters which has the parameter that is updated as a reference.
Updates any child parameters that belongs to the parameter that is updated.
Generates preventive maintenance work orders, inspection orders and calibration orders based on the parameter value that has been entered.
You can update the range and attribute parameters by entering the following details:
The value of the range or attribute parameter
The date and time at which the parameter is updated
The login ID of the user who has updated the parameter value
Any additional information about the parameter being updated
The system updates the range and attribute parameters and also does the following:
Updates any formula based parameters which has the range parameter (that is updated) as a reference.
Generates the appropriate action such as raising of work orders based on the parameter value that is entered.
If the attribute parameter is a conditional parameter, the system calculates the difference in the time between the current and the last update done on the parameter and updates this difference to the consumption parameter that has been attached to the attribute parameter.
Create Equipment under the “Equipment Induction” business component.
Create Location under the “Maintenance Organization” business component.
Create Parameter under the “Equipment Induction” business component.
You can update values for parameters whose source has been set as “Manual”.
Check the “Include if source is RTI or Parent” box if you wish to manually update parameters whose source is specified as “RTI” or “Parent”.
You can view the parameters that would be affected before updating the parameter value in the multiline.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select the parameter for which you wish to view the affected parameters.
Click the “Affected Consumption Parameters” link below the “Consumption Parameters” multiline.
Or
Click the “Affected Range Parameters” link below the “Range Parameters” multiline.
