Selecting equipment or location for viewing parameter log

This page allows you to select an equipment or location for viewing parameter log details. Tell me more.

Select the “View Parameter Values” link under the “Parameter Log” business component.

The “Select Equipment / Location” page appears.

Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the equipment for which the parameter log must be viewed:

Update On	Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to view the parameter log for equipment or location. The system provides the options “Equipment” and “Location”. The system displays “Equipment”, by default.
Code	The identifier of the equipment or location for which parameter log must be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30).

Select the “View Parameter Value” link provided alongside, to view the parameter values updated for the equipment or location.

To search for an equipment or location

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for the equipment or location for which you wish to view the parameter values. Data entry in the following fields is optional.

Update On	Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to view the parameter log for equipment or location. The system provides the options “Equipment” and “Location”. The system displays “Equipment”, by default.
Code	The identifier of the equipment or location for which parameter values must be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment or locations containing code that is similar to the code entered here.
Desc.	The description of the equipment or location (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment and location with description that is similar to the description entered here.
Location	The location of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment associated to a location similar to the location entered here.
Classification	The classification to which the equipment or location belongs (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the classification in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment or location to which similar classifications are attached.
Parameter	The parameter of the equipment or location for which you wish to update the values (Alphanumeric, 30). The system retrieves all equipment or locations to which parameters, similar to the parameter entered here, are attached.

Click the “Search” pushbutton, to search for the equipment or location.

The system retrieves the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Code	The equipment or location retrieved by the system.
Desc.	The description of the equipment or location.
Location	The location of the equipment.

Click the hyperlinked equipment or location code in the multiline, to view its parameter values.

Selecting equipment or location for viewing parameter log – An overview

This page enables you to select the equipment or location for which parameter log must be viewed. You can enter the equipment or location directly. Otherwise you can carry out a search based on the equipment or location, the classification to which the equipment / location belongs, and the parameter belonging to the equipment. Based on the filter criteria entered, the system retrieves the equipment / location for which parameter log must be viewed.
